It can't just be me...

It’s not just you OP. I’m experiencing the same things. This year’s game is just not it. I think years from now MLB 25 will be mentioned in the same breath as Superman 64, Redfall, ect….Just pop a gummy and enjoy it for what it is - A beautiful ascetically pleasing baseball game that has broken gameplay.

Hey...thank you for some vindication of my madness. Might be easier just to use one of my pre-rolled Maui Wowies and then attempt to hit more line drives to nowhere.

Hard disagree here. The developers want you to play their game. They want you to hit home runs. Why would bother to give 5x the points to nerf it? Cmon now.
Now, they do nerf packs, but they literally let you know the odds. They don’t hide that. -
@GoldenGamingKM_PSN Yet you don't ask for evidence from those confirming your experiences...very interesting.
turns to class Now kids, this is what we call confirmation bias.

I've played my fair share of The Show. Twenty five is my 10th version since 2010. Hitting in my opinion is the worst it has been in memory. Compared from last year through one third of the season my batting average is down 44 points, on base down 30 points and slug down 130. The cpu fielders are way too video gamey for my likes this year. I feel like the animations are way too fast and lacking resemblance to real physics.
Side note: the drops in packs I'm experiencing this year are awful. In the past 2 weeks I've opened (been counting) 158 normal packs with zero diamond drops 2 low tier diamonds from Ballin packs and a low tier from a jumbo. I thought the odds for these packs were separate from each other. Are they not?
All of this put together has made my experience with The Show 25 more frustrating than fun. I'll will be spending a lot less time on The Show this year.

This argument is pointless because at the end of the day not a single one of us can prove whether SDS did or did not make changes. We all have our individual, personal experiences with the game. We can all come up with our individual opinions or conspiracies.
To me, hitting is less rewarding this year and I feel like every pitcher whether the teams #1 or #5 pitches more effectively. They have the uncanny ability to hit the edges of the zone and corners (especially for first pitch strikes). They miss in the middle of the the zone far less often. But I can offer no definitive proof that will convince anyone else who is not seeing those things.
So in the end it does not really matter who says that hitting is worse or hitting is no different. It does not matter who thinks sliders have been messed with (this one has been around for years) or not. None of us can actually prove our point or disprove another's point definitively. I personally don't believe they mess with sliders and hitting throughout the year but again I can't prove it.
So I don't get the need to argue with each other. Should we not be able to simply say "That has not been my experience at all" and move on?
