I think that's just what online gaming is... I also don't think it's kids. I think it's like 35 year old grown people

@ref479ode_PSN That stuff is all annoying...this person was literally cheating. He was messing with the game so much that I threw a sinker, he did something to lag the game and it changed direction to rise.

That happened once to me yesterday. I don’t think my opponent was cheating.

@trfatboy22_PSN i had something similar happen when a fastball high outside corner changed to a slider meatball. I clipped it bc I was in shock.

Nothing is more satisfying than beating some one with a machismo gamer tag, that R2s, bunt dances, sends you messages during the game about how awesome they are, nothing is more satisfying than beating a player like that.

@theBlindRhino_PSN I played about 15-20 games today. It happened multiple times in one game against one opponent and never in the others. He was cheating. Plain and simple.

Btw: I do not think that e.g. bunt dancing is cheating. There is a difference between cheating and being annoying

@YOSHI24_XBL I agree. But this person was somehow lagging the game and affecting outcomes. Mainly during pitching he was affecting my pitches to the point that at times they would literally turn around and go the other direction. Which never happened when he was pitching. But he also did it in the field a couple times which let him get to balls faster. It was very weird and Idk how you would do something like that but it was definitely not the game because I played 15-20 different opponents and he's the only one anything like this happened for and it happened on multiple occassions.

Yeah I think those are server type issues and not him cheating. Trust me it's extremely frustrating but that pitch teleport issue happens to me once every couple of days. I'll throw a sinker low and in, it's starts out that way but then all of a sudden shoots straight up and outside. If you are using poinpoint, usually if you switch your pitching mode for that game it will stop. Another issue is that when you are seeing that type of stuff happen on your screen, your opponent isn't. I was playing BR the other day and matched up against someone streaming and threw a pitch that was supposed to be below the strikezone. It started out that way and all of a sudden jumped up and went straight down the middle. He crushed it for a homer, so I went back and watched his VOD afterward and that instance in the game was easy to find and on his screen, that pitch was down the middle from the time I released it, so on his screen he didn't see where it was going low and then all of a sudden just jumped up and went down the middle. Same thing when I hit a ball that looked like it was going in the gap in the infield, but all of a sudden his second basemen teleported and slid instantly from playing the shift all the way to second base. When I went back and checked that one, on his screen his second baseman didn't do that, he was standing in position the entire time as I hit it.
I have no idea why it happens in some games but it definitely does and he for sure wasn't doing anything to cause it.

@dsparks_PSN If that's true SDS will determine that. But considering it only happened in one game I doubt that's the case, personally. Either way when things like this happen I'm going to report it.

Likely a server / syncing issue or something. The warping is probably the game “catching up” to what should have happened (ie. he’s not seeing the warping on his screen)

Just 1 in 5? You’re very fortunate. Seems like every other opponent for me

The guy wasn’t cheating likely. The game is just terrible. Year after year we fall victim and buy this Game for full price when in reality it’s an unfinished product with very little care given to it. You can hit pinpoint this year and the ball might zip across the screen… hell it might cost you the game. You can square balls up and they might pop up to the catcher or they might be 400 foot bombs. There’s no rhyme or reason but what’s truly inexcusible is the lack of dedicated servers. The lack of gameplay updates when an entire player base has been begging for it. Menus getting locked up and having to restart the game every day. Glitches… you name it. The game was released broken. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve beat a team on conquest just for it to not do anything. This started happening since last update. I have to play and beat certain teams twice. The game sucks man. Fun game but it wasn’t ready to be released and nothing will ever change as long as we keep supporting it.

@YOSHI24_XBL the reason folks bunt dance is to mess up your pitching meter or get the game to lag so it is hard to pitch. It also messes with the animations and sometimes it can cover your pitching meter. It is totally cheating and nothing else.
I have thought for years they could fix this by locking the bunt button as soon as you touch it. Bunting still needs to be part of baseball but no one needs to hit it repeatedly.
I don’t use any other pitching but analog. Would prefer meter pitching for the old school feel but bunt dancing and the turds that do it took that option away. -
