Progression…

It’s still broken, this is the only major sports games where prospects never seem to get better, i’m not necessarily saying that players should grow 10 overall in an offseason, but I mean for prospects with 90+ potential to still be lower 60s 5 years deep into a franchise is ridiculous. It’d be okay if it was just one player, but I feel like progression has never been something that MLB has got right with franchise mode

Agreed .. however:
Players have to be played. Guys that sit in the minors (and a lot of guys on other teams) don't progress very well.
Players on my team turn into Ted Williams in a season. It's really wonky.

Most of my prospects grow 3-5 OVR annually. Sometimes as low as 1 but I’ve had one grow 8 in one season. Make sure they’re in lineup everyday.

@JTOD5_PSN I agree, but it's also regression.
I had an idea that was similar to a Madden thing where they could implement "Breakout" opportunities or season goals to allow players to develop more. Especially for guys who follow a Brent Rooker-ish career path and don't really breakout until 28 or so.

Performance seems to play a larger role in 25 than in the last version I played which was 23. What some people might not realize is there is an age progression/regression curve dice roll. When you start your franchise and new players entering under the draft all get that dice roll.
One thing that has been a longstanding issue is how they calculate performance progression/regression vs lhp. Only 30% of plate appearances are vs lhp. There are wild swings in performance/regression vs lhp. Instead of using performance over time they should use performance over a certain number of plate appearances.
