Created Stadiums in a Ranked

Am I the only one who thinks it is BS that you can use a created stadium in ranked? Call me old school but I don’t want a pop up with a 85mph exit velocity going over the wall.

And before anyone says “It works both ways” or “Take advantage of it”. I won the game 12-2 via Mercy Rule.
I just don’t like it because it’s not baseball.

Honestly, I think they nerfed created stadiums. I’ve played in several max elevation/short fence stadiums and they play like a normal MLB stadium now. It’s almost like they deactivated the elevation on created stadiums.

Definitely not the case in the game I just played. I hit a couple of 80-85 be home runs and my open did as well. My others were all crushed but I should’ve had a shutout…

The only custom stadiums that can be used in any Diamond Dynasty mode are those where the outfield wall distances are not amended from any of the pre-packaged template designs. My understanding is that SDS already limited the elevation settings to further prevent stadiums being set up for home run derby.
The upshot is there are so many "rules" and prohibitions put in place in Stadium Creator already -- all designed to appease folks, who play DD mode and who have complained without letup, about the presumption of custom stadiums somehow being used to "cheat" the game.
These many rules and prohibitions have now made it impossible for legitimate designers to replicate a great many historic and modern actual ballparks. (No, I'm not speaking about last year's "j.e.r.k of the year" who created a deliberately sabotaged custom stadium and put it on the vault.) And yet, the complaining continues every single year.
My solution? Well, so many complained about my solution first offered last year, but I'm going to repeat it anyway. My solution is to forever, immediately, and permanently remove any and all custom stadiums from any DD mode of play. They can only be used in Leagues, RTTS, Franchise, and Exhibition. All DD play must use nothing but SDS created default stadiums.
In return for that, all these artificial rules and constraints on stadium creation are removed and we designers can finally build stadiums that actually look like historic ballparks and minor league parks used in today's games. That way, for example, someone can actually build a version of Wrigley Field as it was during the 1980's or Tigers Stadium, with the overhanding baskets on the outfield walls and the overhanding upper deck in the outfield.
Highlighted for SDS: @SDS_JoeK_PSN

I think you should be able to use whatever stadium you want for offline grinding, but custom stadiums should be banned for online unless they fit the actual mlb certifications for stadiums

I suspect there are many who would claim that using custom stadiums for "versus-CPU" modes within DD would be "gaining an unfair advantage to earn points, cards, etc ..."
Right now, if any designer so much as moves any of the preset wall template designs a foot closer or further from home plate, the stadium is rendered unusable for DD mode. I'm OK with that. I see the point and concede that without that in place, that yes too many people would use custom stadiums in truly corrupt ways.
Yes, I think there is a sub-culture within the DD playing customer base who have turned complaining into a cottage industry!
That said, I just want the rules removed so that if say I want to render a faithful copy of historic Ponce de Leon Park in Atlanta, GA with the famous Babe Ruth tree (magnolia) in right center field that was in play, then I can do it. There are so many historic ballparks that had quaint things in the field of play, such as Jack Murphy Stadium with those bullpen chairs, that folks who craft custom stadiums can replicate them.
And the only way we're going to do it, is to force DD mode to use default stadiums, or else the chronic complainers, and those who desire only to cheat, will ruin what should be an option used for honest purposes.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL I agree completely. Would love to make old Yankee stadium with the monuments in play in center field.

@GooseOnEm_PSN
I do think that SDS should have higher standards for online stadiums. -
Ran into a person who used an online stadium during ranked that instead of being 3000 max elevation, it was 5279 or whatever the old max was. Good for offline but horrible for online
