1 month in - As an Offline DD player, very happy so far with 25
-
Having a lot of fun this year as a Offline DD NMS player. I really like the content and the programs thus far in 25. It's not even been a full month since release and I feel like the last 30 days has been better than the entire DD24 year.
Took me a while to figure out Diamond quest but I am really liking it. It's like a bit of every type of offline mode mixed into one mode. And the rewards are pretty good.
Conquest maps have been updated about 2/3 times a week which is great. I really hope they update more of the mini seasons seasons. last year I think they sort of ignored it but I hope they go back to 22/23 where mini seasons had a lot of different types (all lefty's, all rightys, etc).
The only mode lacking so far is Showdowns. We still have only 2 since launch.
But overall very happy.

Agree. I am having the most fun in this game that I have had in a few years. The Innings format and the power creep is great. I also like that LS cards are still relevant. There are some glitches/issues that they NEED to fix asap, but I am very satisfied with the changes this year.

@LuvMyXBOX_XBL Lefty vs. lefty mini-season is one of the most miserable things I've ever played. Why would they do more showdowns when that's basically all Diamond Quest is with a couple of conquest games thrown in? Not having a repeatable-for-rewards conquest map completely destroys the single player experience. And don't expect more mini-seasons, or at least very few more. They've made it very obvious that anything that might be viable other than the Godawful Diamond Quest isn't going to happen. This is, easily, the worst year ever for single-player, unless you really, really love showdowns (which aren't baseball), which you obviously do.

Im also a NMS offline (rookie difficulty only because im a noob). I haven’t played for a number of years as I never made the jump from PS4 to PS5. Decided to pick the game up on Switch this year.
I won’t complain about technical issues because I know I’m on the inferior system.
Conquest was my main mode last time I played so I’d love to see a large repeatable map added. DQ is ok, I’m just not a big fan of “moments” and challenges in this game. I’m a bit of a noob so making me spend time on “hit a home run” with a random player while this Veteran CPU pitcher throws you changeups and sliders in the dirt just isn’t fun. I’m into the team affinity grind and these moments yank me out of that and force me to bash my head against the wall a bit.
Haven’t started mini seasons yet as I figured I’d save that for Inning 2 for the xp.

Agreed, long time player, no repeatedly rewarding single player modes via conquest is a big miss.
