Hi, sorry, can't find this info in forums. I play RTTS almost exclusively, with only Franchise as my other. Equipment has always given specific boosts to certain stats. So, for example, what is the gain if I buy one diamond batting glove over another same type. In years past, each equipment had stat boosts that they listed. Like equipment was almost never the same boosts, I can't find what one product offers over another. They are all rated/grouped by a times 2 or 4 modifier for perks. Why would I buy a more expensive 4x item over another 4x item that costs almost half less? I understand how the Perks work but not sure why one 4X item is better then another 4x item of the same type. Hope this makes sense.

Not sure if you can see equipment stats in game, but you can flip equipment cards in the app to see specific stats.

The only reason to spend more money on certain equipment (that have the same multiplier) is because you like it better. For example I have New Balance diamond level cleats that are 6x but they’re no better than the Adidas cleats with the same rating. People may simply like how they look better on their player or have some type of brand loyalty. You buy what you like, even if something equivalent is cheaper and looks different.

The basics have been changed in MLB 25. Equipment now only provides boosts of up to 6% to the boost that the perk itself provides when it is active. Therefore, equipment now does not in any way shape your overall attribute level. It does not increase it. Instead, the best equipment can do is increase your odds of making a good play and thereby earning the points that are awarded for various positive plays.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL So is it the case then that all attributes are capped at 99? Since equipment in the past would cap attributes at 125 in-game before this year.

As I have written before, equipment does NOT boost attribute level in any way any longer.

The SOLE effect that equipment has is to temporarily boost existing attribute levels in certain play areas when and only when perks that are connected to the equipment are active within the game during the play in question.

Moreover, all equipment of equal within their categories now with respect to being diamond, gold, or silver they are all equal. There is no longer any advantage to getting a certain type of equipment. The sole benefit is upgrading from silver, to gold, to diamond.
