Player Lock Gameplay Bug
-
So I enjoy playing half of my Franchise games with Player Lock and I put the Watch Full Game option on because I enjoy the realism of being present in the game for every single pitch. The bug I found is that when I do this, the cpu does not make any pitching changes at all for either team and (i believe correctly) locks me out of being able to sub in a new pitcher as well. I notice the cpu put pitchers warming up in the bullpen on both teams but it never actually makes any moves to bring them in. For 3 games now both starting pitchers threw over 120 pitches and completed the game regardless of score. However if I leave it on Sim to next appearance then it subs pitchers in. So its only in this situation where I choose watch full game that the cpu does not make any pitching changes for either team.

Is it possible for a dev to confirm they are aware of this and is being worked on at least? Really wanting to be able to play player lock with watch full game on again...
-
Not a dev, but just confirming that this happens in RTTS when using watch full game too.
Only exception is if the RTTS ballplayer is a pitcher, then they can be subbed out. But all other pitchers won’t be subbed in or out.

@mosey_town_PSN
Thanks for adding that. That's also how I usually play half of my games on RTTS as well just haven't delved into that mode yet. I'll wait on that too now knowing that. Hopefully its a simple patch that can fix that. -
@MysticalFrost89_XBL So i just found out if you turn off player lock during the game you can change your pitcher. What sucks tho is that if you try and player lock back to your original player it wont let you. It will only let you lock the pitcher. I really hope they fix this.

@MysticalFrost89_XBL @SDS_JoeK_PSN I've been saying this over and over in different threads so thank you for pointing it out too! (I'm being serious not sarcastic)The more people that bring it up, the more likely SDS will acknowledge it. Here's a personal example of what's being talked about... https://ibb.co/pB23gyNw

@mosey_town_PSN I can confirm the same in mine as well playing as a two way SP/1B.

Passing this on to the team. Thanks for the tag!

@SDS_JoeK_PSN Thank you. I have purposely been waiting to play rtts and franchise until this is fixed. Looking forward to a patch hopefully soon.

When you elect to play using the player lock option, your ability to control the bullpen and make any managerial changes is taken away. In effect, player lock demotes you to the rank of player.
You can either elect to play out the games as the manager, or as a player you lock to, or play each and every player that comes to bat. But, you cannot invoke player lock and at the same time function as the team manager.

I think you are misunderstanding the issue. The issue is not us wanting to be able to make changes or bullpen moves, we actually want the cpu or ai whatever to do it as it would do any other time. The issue is when we are in player lock mode and select to play out the entire game with every pitch, no bullpen moves are made by the cpu at all and it results in unrealistic pitch counts etc. Hope that clears it up.
