I am a casual offline player and a novice at playing the market, so I am looking for some advice. I will be interested in completing the live series for several teams (maybe all) eventually, but I really don't care how quickly I do it. I purchased the digital deluxe and I will have a bunch of now and later vouchers. Should I sell all of the diamonds and high golds that I pull in early access? If so, should I save the stubs for a few weeks or start buying again after the full launch? Or should I just keep everything I pull to avoid having to acquire it again? I know prices always fall over time, but players also jump up in level and therefore price. I just don't understand the best way to play this.

lol @ all of the diamonds and high golds that I pull in early access

More than likely, you'll be pulling a lot of commons, bronze and a few silver.

@Orcin_MLBTS the correct answer is yes. Sell everything that’s not nailed to the wall. If you pull someone you really want, hold them, but don’t collect them. If you pull a gatekeeper, it’s 50/50, but assuming Shohei/Trout/Judge are the gatekeepers, it’s honestly up to you.

But the general idea is “everything must go” and then buy the lower level cards, collect them, and start chipping away at the diamonds.

@Orcin_MLBTS It was different with seasons than the preceding years. I’d bet it goes back to before seasons. Generally, selling everything other than high diamonds is the way to go. Now the question is, do you sell during early access or at the regular launch. I think we’ll have to wait to see about that.

@dmc04005_PSN I would say hold on guys like Ohtani unless you can get an outrageous price right at launch. Generally, those guys go up for the first few months.

@GoozeFn_PSN id agree to an extent. If you can sell a gatekeeper and knockout a few other diamonds it’s worth it. But keeping them is also a means to an end as it’s 100k+ stubs you don’t need down the road.

@dmc04005_PSN Well, if you get Ohtani and sell him for 300k to buy a few other diamonds that are say 50-60k a piece to get some teams done and buy the time you’re ready to buy him back, he’s 400k and those other diamonds you bought are 30-40k, you’re losing big time and it’s taking you longer to complete. You have to look at the big picture and typically that’s starting with the most expensive cards first because they go up while the lesser diamonds go down over time. Other things to consider are guys who could get upgraded to the next tier at a roster update. It might make sense to buy those types earlier than normal. Also, if say Acuña isn’t part of the Braves collection because he’s injured, you’re going to want to do that collection before the next roster update after he returns. Be efficient as possible if your goal is finishing the whole collection ASAP.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN Digital deluxe guarantees 1 diamond and 5 golds. Are those no-sell cards?

@Orcin_MLBTS The golds shouldn’t be. The diamond might be. We don’t know yet.

Even if it isnt no sell, its still gonna be a low end diamond thats not gonna make you a ton of stubs anyway.

Typically, the bonus packs aren’t no-sell because that’s the only way those cards will be on the market for opening week.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN Depends on if there’s a collection and if that card is any good. I think the market is going to be very different than the last couple years.
