I get that you can't STREAM from Gamepass, but can I buy it on Gamepass and play it?

Do I have to have a console to play it or can I still BUY a copy on Gamepass and play it that way? Can I preorder like that with the digital copy? Or it won't even be put in GP's library to play at all?
Can I just buy and download a copy?
If I switch to PS5, can I get access to my now/later packs?

@OfcJDFarva_XBL You have to buy it on console and you can stream it from your console on Xbox for Windows.

@bucknut0211_MLBTS [censored] it. Is there a way to switch my progression over to PS5? I'll preorder a copy on PS5, but I play mainly PC, so I use Xbox through that.
Like is there a way to get my Now and Later packs over to my PS5 when it comes out?

@OfcJDFarva_XBL I'm not sure, but you can create an account at TheShow.com and then link your XBox and PS accounts and see if that works. I don't know if packs carry over from console to console or not. I only have it on Xbox. When I linked my PS account today, it gave me the option to link it to my account that I use on XBox. Don't know if anything transferred though.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN For the time, yes. That doesn't mean in the future I won't need it for console-only games. Current events notwithstanding.
Which is why I'm trying to figure out how to not lose my progression.

@OfcJDFarva_XBL I have only played on Xbox since it became available and not Sony exclusive. Before that, I played on PS4. I am not 100% sure if it transfers between consoles. Maybe a message to support can answer this for you.

not sure unless MS puts the game on cloud like they did a few months ago for games no on gamepass.
I'm going to say no as sony may not allow it.
