Does DD RANKED help certain players?
-
I’m fairly new to diamond Dynasty and probably have played about 100 matches. I’ve played certain matches where I’m hitting the ball well pitching well and my opponent who barely makes contact Blast multiple home runs in a game. Is this normal? I can Absolutely accept losing when my opponent is playing better, and believe me I’m not good at all(PCI SLAMMER), but at times I’m losing to players who arr playing a lot worse than me. Thanks!

This is pretty common. I often get bailed out midway through ranked thanks to the game rewarding me with comeback logic, home field, etc. I’m not better than a few people I beat which would upset me too.

I think some people just sit 4 seam fastball and swing at any and everything but if they're early and make decent contact with a 4 seamer it can be gone especially on all star.

No, the game does not decide to allow your opponent to come back. This game is HR happy, so all it takes is for someone to get the reticle close to the ball and out it goes... that this starts to happen half way through the game or toward the end is more reasonably attributed to your opponent (or you) getting a beat on the pitcher's timing and release point and performing better as time goes on, combined with the fact that pitchers tire, lose break on their pitches, and lose confidence rapidly when they start getting hit (and many people, including me, let their pitchers languish too long).
With such a high percentage of hits being home runs, the guy who guesses and simply flits his PCI around is bound to run into a few... giving up 5 hits with 4 of them being HRs is pretty common, so if you aren't setting the world on fire and absolutely drubbing your opponents every game, you're going to lose a fair amount of close games because your opponent got lucky and you didn't.

Even in real baseball, the worst teams in history will still win 25% of the time. It just happens.

That’s great and all, but not my experience at all.

Nah….I don’t think SDS is playing favorites. I think it’s mostly connection issues that determine the quality of game.

@IrishFist412_MLBTS I get about 400 something download and 100 and some for upload

@Rsalermo82_PSN Sure but if your opponent has bad connection it will affect you as well…At least that’s how I think it works lol

Thats exactly how it works, whenever your the away teams online then your hoping that your opponent has good internet but if your the home team then it’s your internet

That is why SDS desperately needs dedicated server. That would fix a lot of problems.

I think it’s silly to think otherwise. There are wayyyy too many comebacks in the 9th innings on dink hits up the middle and early and late for an opponent to come back. I see [censored] like this less in legend ranked but HOF and AS is brutal. Take the trolls and then this on top of it and some days are brutal. I find it happens back to back a lot of times. For me it’s against 700 players. It’s pretty easy to know when it’s going to happen. If you review your history through the games and noticed balls mounted up don’t get exit velocity yet your opponent is hitting early and late HR is a tell sign. Also silly defensive errors is a good sign that it’s happening. Most of the time I find pitches not placing well, more in the zone, and pinpoint a lot harder. This one is a for sure sign in my opinion. Watch some of the top streamers play after a season ends. They typically agree and struggle against players 600 and up.
It’s implemented intentionally to keep players playing and entertained. A lot of games have this its not uncommon. The more players the higher the sales obviously.

@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL the pinpoint thing makes me rage lol. I hate that more than cheap hits.
