Which console?
-
I've been playing this game on an OLED Switch and I'm seriously considering moving up from that.
So which console should I get?
The only other game I have any interest in is also available on both XBox and PS, so game library isn't a biggie. In more interested in which console makes this game look better, has a more intuitive controller, etc.
(Backstory: Used to be an online RPG player, built my own gaming PCs. Real life and grad school and etc, many years have passed, and here I am. Clueless lol.)

You could get the game on pc I believe. Just then pick whichever controller feels more comfortable for you, either Xbox or PlayStation

It's not not on PC

Having had both in the previous generation, I’d recommend playstation over xbox in general, especially if you have a gaming rig.
I currently have a PS5, my Switch lite, a Steamdeck, and my PC - use the Nintendo the most since I am forced to take a lunch break at my firm. I slightly dislike the Steamdeck and wish I didn’t buy it, but whatevs.

I have both the PS5 and XBox X (and a switch, but that doesn’t matter here). With the right monitor (or TV) this game looks great on either. I think the performance on both is the same too. This may be because I’m older (63) and don’t have the quick reflexes of younger folks.
What makes the difference for me is the controller. There is a host of controllers to choose from on the XBox, and it feels better in my hand over the PS controller.
Go to a store and handle both controllers. See which feels better to you. Intuitiveness is in the eyes of the beholder, it's what you are used to that makes you more comfortable.
As a point of reference, I use a Power A wired controller and I have an LG C2 TV for my set up.

@Blind_Bleeder_PSN thanks, that was very helpful
I'm not much younger than you are

Yeah, I played on the PS5 up to this year and switched to the Xbox Series X this year. I have not noticed any real differences between the two.
The one thing that might give the Edge to the Xbox for me currently is a Game Pass Subscription. You can play the base version MLB The Show with a subscription. Plus there are lots of other games included. In the next few weeks they are adding MS Flight Sim 2024, Stalker 2, and the new Indiana Jones Game.
