Absolutely atrocious. What were they thinking? There are still so many better options without a 99 (see my comprehensive list topic).

I want a HOF Mantle, and I would imagine it’s gonna be a card you have to pay for. Acuna, Kershaw, Verlander, and Trout could get RETRO finest. Really dumbfounded by some of these choices….
McGwire, Palmiero, Utley I think are the home runs. Other ones are all very odd. Piazza, Peavy, Luis Gonzalez, Andy Petitte, Madison Bumgartner are some players that come to mind that WOULD have been better choices.

Off the top of my head those are the two biggest names without a 99 yet. Shoot Musial doesn't even have a 90+ card at all. Mantle only has a 91

I could see those two and maybe Cy Young (who also does not have a 99) being Season 4 XP path boss rewards.

Nice to see that I can occasionally make good guesses. I just chose the wrong pitcher and we got them a little earlier than I expected.
