I am really, really enjoying this game, and I am especially enjoying the DD side of things. I am doing well, and I have already collected more than half of the live roster teams, and I have a AVG in the 90s. I used to enjoy the miniseasons a lot, but I have not been able to enjoy them lately. Why? It seems as though the game intentionally makes things difficult, which is fine, but it does so in a way that is inconsistent.

If I am not doing well, the other team will not do well, and the game will go into extra innings. If I get a run or two, the next time the other team gets to bat, they are going to hit some insane home runs, while my team just stands there, fumbles around, trips, and loses.

I have noticed that the teams are better now that my roster is better, but it is so annoying to have my games made so difficult that I can't hit the ball without the other team's players sprinting across the outfield to catch the ball. I know what a pop-fly is, and I know why it happens. I am not talking about a pop-fly, I am talking about a 90-100 mph bomb, sent way out into the outfield.

If I suck the whole time, the other team will suck too. If I do well at all, they get really good and crush me. It's not fun, and it feels like it punishes me for getting better at the game. I have a ton of clips that I might edit together into some kind of "what a bunch of [censored]" montage.

Am I the only person to be so annoyed with this? I doubt that I am. Share your experiences. Help me deal with the frustration. 🙂

I could be mistaken, but it seems like you can trick the game into giving you easier teams (kind of). I tried making a team of less powerful players, and the average rating for opponents dropped. It still is annoying, but it is better, I guess.

In my opinion, the difficulty curve is far too steep. It went from being difficult, yet fairly easy to win, to becoming next to impossible without getting homeruns or getting to extra innings. It becomes a homerun derby, which is not fun when the pitchers are throwing some crazy pitches, and your players can't seem to get a decent hit on the ball.

What MS are you playing? Classic? Is so those teams are made up of user built teams. So some have Scrub Teams and some have full 99 lineups.
