If the player is not designated as a two-way player in the game, then you cannot sub him in as a relief pitcher. I agree, this restriction should be lifted. But, given you don't manage the roster in RTTS, then the only game modes where it would apply would be Franchise and perhaps Diamond Dynasty. But, since DD is a game-by-game mode, I don't know that mop up relief would have much meaning in that mode either.

You actually can pitch with positional players done it for years.

Even in real baseball there are certain restrictions on when a non-two way player can pitch.
"Position players will only be permitted to pitch in extra innings, or in the ninth inning when the leading team is up by 10 or more runs, or when the trailing team is down by eight or more runs."
How often is this scenario presenting itself to you in RTTS?

@jake93436_PSN since you can’t figure it out and can’t seem to click links I’ll tell you.
When you play a game, pause and change your dh to another position on the substitution menu. Then your pitcher becomes a hitter in your lineup since you lost your dh.
And finally after that once your pitcher comes up to hit just pinch hit for them and wow!!! You get a position player pitching. I can explain it more if you can’t figure it out

@theBlindRhino_PSN I was mostly wanting to use it in franchise mode, it would be most appropriate this way as you manage the team.
