So what should be my game strategy?

I just got MLB 24 from PS Plus after taking a year and a half off.

So now that I’m picking up the game with 2/3rds of the season gone, how should I play it? I’m trying Conquests, but not going to do online. I’m just not that good.

So what I be focused on?
