Why must this showdown be harder then a regular showdown? I'd you are unable to throw Derby pitches where hitters have a chance, the All Star Commission and MLB should, would, will fire that pitcher. But in SDS MLB the Show, he is allowed to throw off the plate consistently preventing me from getting good "wood" on the ball.
It's supposed to be "batting practice" pitches. Unfortunately it feels like I'm facing Logan Webb or Greg Maddox. Please adjust.

The issue isn't the velocity. It's that he dots WAY too much...meaning they're too close to take. Also does not help that unlike other modes where you don't get "black-painted" calls..Russell's pitches will clip the tiniest fraction of the black and be called a strike...it unfortunately forces you to swing at a lot of stuff making terrible contact.
