I think there would be rights issues. Especially, with legendary mgr/coaches.
Imagine a Jim Leland card that let's you smoke in the dugout, or a Billy Martin argument card, where you can win every challenge 🤪 -

As an offline Player - My only complaint with the Team Captain Cards is the Crossover of hitting/pitching boosts. I could honestly care less about Pitching Boosts. And lets be real...If I'm using an All Braves team...I'm using one Starter and one or two Relievers anyways...I understand you gotta implement them for Ranked as well, but who's taking the Royals Bullpen into a Ranked Series game? That was one thing I liked about the Captain cards last year...You want to boost Contact - Use the captain that boosts that. Power - Use that one. Etc..
You're specialty Captains (Kershaw, Santana, Castillo - That's a different story cause they can be utilized for a "Non-Team Specific" Lineup.

I understand you gotta implement them for Ranked as well, but who's taking the Royals Bullpen into a Ranked Series game?
When I was playing ranked I played full mets team including bullpen.
Silver Brooks Raley was a workhorse for me and is p4.5ish -
@Teak2112_MLBTS A captain imo is a player that has to be on the field. If Aaron Judge e.g. is not good enough to be on the field he will be gone.
Captains should be way better. When I do theme teams late in the year, my captain will bat 9th or never pitch. That should not be the case… -
I like the idea of theme teams.

I’ve been wanting managers/chemistry instead that don’t take up a starting roster spot. Captain cards are good for theme teams, but pretty quickly that card becomes the worst card in your lineup.

That’s my issue with them they are 87s and can’t earn them very easily
