So with the trend of playing older versions of this game becoming popular I went back to 23.

Going back for a minute, I remember when 24 released. My best friend and I went straight co-op and the first thing he said was the graphics are worse. I didn't believe him. I thought it couldn't be possible especially since SDS said and showed us they made some of the players with significant improvements. I didn't believe until I just went back for myself and found out.
The lighting is better, the quality is better, it looks smoother and the animations are better. Batting and pitching there is a rather noticeable difference in lighting and polish between the two games. 23 is the winner in this category.
23 also feels better as far as input is concerned. Timing and input just feel more accurate and responsive. Legend is harder but more rewarding and when it tells you your pitch result it looks to be more accurate information than in 24.
Still noticed an issue with P/P line outs to the glove BUT it wasn't a problem as the rest of the game felt that much better and rewarding when you did the right things. It's also so great to get to play ranked with your entire collection. I'm not even using all 99s. Just my favorite players and it's going pretty well. Lots of fun.
I've noticed many people on the forums and streamers have been playing 21. I don't have nor have I played 21. They say they like it alot and that it's the best iteration they've played in recent years. I like 23 a lot and I can only imagine how much better 21 really is.

24 is in trouble and it needs to go back to some roots or there may not be a 25. Idk. Maybe there will be. They have enough whales to feed.

I went back to 22 and the graphics are definitely better in 22 than 24, so it doesn’t surprise me that 23 is better too. I wonder if they gave up some resolution for hair movement?

I forgot about that! Yeah that was weird.....it's like they sacrificed others features and quality for hair....

As for the P/P lineouts: Who were the players?

Just wondering if it could also be based on what inner icon makes contact with the ball.

I'll have to dig my history and probably was a lower power hitter maybe? I'm sure if I could see a stat on his pitcher and compare to my batter his pitcher probably won the dice roll after attributes. And "hEy thAt'S jUst baSEbAlL" so it is what it is but still enjoyed 23 like I haven't in a while with 24

Also I really like hearing the other player make their lineup changes. That was a near feature. Like it let you know the other play was there.

I'm just wondering if the card lists the player as a Contact hitter, instead of Power, and you line up the wrong 'icon' that a P/P could be a line out.

Ex. LS Arrez(sp) is known as a Contact hitter. While you still could hit a homerun with him; chances are a P/P could result in a lineup more often than a hit.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X_PSN I guess that makes sense. I'm fine with it really as the rest of the game still felt well playing. That failed P/P is probably balanced considering I did hit other P/P homeruns that game.
