97 OVR isn’t getting called up after 12 seasons
-
I’m extremely confused because I’ve been playing RTTS character for months now i’ve built up all of my characters skill sets, attributes, and I’ve had legendary seasons hitting 50 home runs and an average over .400 to have an 97 OVR player. For this year’s game, I wanted to play as the female option which I really enjoyed for the story it developed until i began to notice a pattern.
I couldn’t get called up or advance unless Mia Lewis did it first. Which wasn’t an issue in my experience until she eventually made the MLB & i was still stuck in AAA. It didn’t matter how many Spring Trainings or seasons I played without skipping at the end of it I would get told “You have been option to AAA”. I began simulating seasons to see if maybe it was Mia Lewis that was affecting my chances, but I still was being optioned to AAA. I attempted switching teams which didn’t help and they did the exact same thing. And consistently when i check the position ranking, I’m at the top!
Now my character is 33 years old, has been playing for 12 seasons & has not been called up at all? Meanwhile Mia Lewis has already played in three All-Star Games and is on her 6th season in the MLB!
Is this a glitch for the Female Character RTTS player ? I’m really tired of playing in AAA and the minors in general PLEASE any help would be appreciated

Dude hang 'em up. He just ain't it. Lol seriously though, pay attention to your contract offers, you might be inadvertently agreeing to two way deals/deals that have you as the AAA starter. Also, ask for a trade

What's your position and teams? This can often affect your call up time. I've created 4 Female players: Catcher, Starting Pitcher, First Base, and Two-way Starting Pitcher/Right Fielder. The Catcher and First Base both got the call for The Show on June 1st (AAA on May 1st), the Starting Pitcher got the call up July 1st (AAA June 1st) and the Two-way player got the call up on May 15th (AAA May 1st). All of them for the Cincinnati Reds. My Starting Pitcher is the furthest along (May of 2025) and still pitching for the Reds. You have no negotiating power above trying to get a little higher pay per year in your first 6 seasons (I tried avoiding the contract with the "Minors" send down option, you can't). I have yet to have any player sent back down to the Minors after my first season (I've been playing since 21). Of course, I usually aim to put up record numbers without going too high as to force a stat reset.
FYI: Player overall rating and attribute levels have little to no impact in my experience. In my experience with MLB The Show, in game performance has the most impact. How often are you in the top 4 notable performances of the game for your team? How often are you listed at the #1 spot? Stuff like this will have a greater impact than being 97 overall.
