All I could do was laugh. During my MTO run with the Nats, I had a “finish the no-hitter” key moment with Joe Ross.
I pitched the 7th and 8th without giving up a hit and finished the 8th at exactly 100 pitches. We were up 7-0 and I was lifted for a pinch hitter!
It’s not a huge gripe and it was inconsequential in the long run, but you’d think if you’re in a “finish the no-hitter” key moment, they’d let you....y’know....FINISH THE NO-HITTER.
