What are the biggest game play frustrations?
-
1.) Freeze offs
2.) glitches (fu**ing pick one)
3.) foul ballsHonorable mentions:
Perfect perfects going straight to infielders gloves or pop out
Pitch release glitch where pitchers throw from opposite side of their actual throwing arm.
Umpires calling strikes balls when they are clearly perfect dots on the edge.
Opponent making contact with dirt balls that shouldn't be physically possible and yet gets a hit.
Server issues causing games to drop or kicking out of menus.
When you get stuck in freeze off in coop and you decide to bite the bullet and quit to find new game you're banned for 20-40 minutes.
Captains not working in co-op

Kangaroo hops to nerf triples. The ones that miraculously bounce over for auto-doubles.
It's as if every stadium is made of bouncy turf.
Fielder urgency was said to be fixed, but it's not. -

Fielder urgency was said to be fixed, but it's not.I'll one up that,
Player fielder urgency needing improvement but hasn't
CPU fielding needing toned down a little but hasn't.( The "funnest" 20ft high bounce over the wall is when it's an under 25 angle liner)

- Foul balls
- Pitchers making miraculous twist turn catches on ground balls hit back to them.
- Outfielders running with their backs turned and jumping to make the catch over their head
-
@Aron1740_MLBTS
Easy:-
Foul balls in the dirt and very early/late swings
-
On outside pitches the timing window for a perfect is to center and not opposite field resulting in randomly swinging a pool noodle when a ball is hit opposite field, but they will let you pull it down the line for a hr.
-
The fielders run too fast which has been a problem forever, but they also run towards the wall with no regard for human life and make catches that would never be made.
-
-
People mentioning foul balls in the dirt which is much more of a zone problem, but as a timing user foul balls on good swings is far more annoying. If you are on the edge of good timing its a foul ball virtually every time.
Ill still get some foul balls I shouldn't low even on timing but Im not going to get more than 1 or 2 of those an atbat.
Ill foul off 30 strikes if you keep throwing them as Im inbetween fastball and offspeed timing most of the time...
-
Some others:
Amount of pitches well outside of the PAR on pulse pitching
Fastballs never actually hit target location with pulse pitching
check swing calls seem completely unrelated to user input -
Lack of fielder urgency especially outfielders with good arms that field it with enough time to throw out a runner but incorporate some extra move or hesitation that adds another second before the ball is released and the runners is safe.

- Foul balls
- Ease of defense ( would like for them to make it valid skill and a consequential part of the game like hitting and pitching)
- Wiffle ball stadiums

Please no. I hate pretty much every other sports game because it over complicates what should be simple. I'm not sure how they could make defense need 'more skill' without it turning into that. I think skill does matter enough already.

foul balls
the exit velo. Hey home runs are cool, but hitting a 500ft homer with Joe Torre at Fenway shouldnt happen. I've hit more 500ft homers this year then all my other years combined. Homers draw players in especially players who arent very good
Fix Co-Op My son and i have tried to play out of the maybe 30 games we've tried playing we've played 2 whole games. otherwise its freeze offs. Its a joke.finally Season, there has to be a way to get back to the inning programs. Having the same recycled cards over and over again gets boring.
-
1- Foul Balls- In a grind game vs the CPU I'm a bit more tolerant of them, but in Mini Seasons it ruins my entire game plan because guaranteed it happens batter #1.
2- Outfields not being scaled properly. outfielders getting to balls they have zero business getting to. When I'm watching guys like Kyle Schwarber turn into Trea Turner out in LF to get to a liner. In general as well the ball hangs in the air WAY too long
3- Results of hits don't seem to be matching the contact/sound. This isn't me saying that P/P should be hits 100%. I'm just seeing no doubters off contact that sounds like a rolled over chopper to second.
4- Your defensively controlled player showing zero urgency in getting to some balls and throwing
-
Easily how the game feels different depending on matchups. Seemed earlier in the year I was matching with more local people but since an update I’m all over and the gameplay suffers with lag.

I get this. I sometimes hate how much the CPU takes over especially with things like fly balls or line drives that would require the player to jump. Many times the CPU just does it to compensate with the exit velo of the ball.
Throwing I think is fine but I think the CPU does too much. -

I'm gonna have to send you a friend request, my man. I'm probably low ranked compared to you but I haven't played with any mature players like myself yet. I play coop almost exclusively and with my nephew. My boys are still way too young to play video games.
-
@AdeptOfMemory_PSN sure, its the same here as in game lol. My 14 year old has gotten pretty good. i'm not saying i'm great, i get through All Star level pretty easy, and Hall of Fame i go back and forth on. I'm 17-1 in RS, he's 14-6 i think, but for whatever reason he beats me...and it irritates the [censored] out of me lol.
-
@LIONED-33_XBL lol kids are good man! We getting too old! I sadly have lost many games to having to tend to my children at night but mostly due to freeze offs. Be on the lookout for an invite. I'm not good by anymeans or high ranked.
Those are good records by the way!

Check swings... pushing the swing button full force and still getting a check swing animation and seeing the "perfect swing" in the corner is ugh lol

Double plays, double plays and double plays. It doesn't matter if it's online or cpu, the amount of double plays for and against me seem to be tuned up this year compared to the last few. Traditional double plays and the lineout double plays to first and third while someone on base to get tagged out is definitely up aswell.
-
@ArGenTin32_XBL no joke at all, so many hard line outs to 1st and get doubled off does not matter what mode it seems.
