Idea for theme teams

Since SDS has embraced this Madden type set up, I think what I'd like is to see player cards having the ability to to pick which team it's connected to.

So you release a 99 OVR Wade Boggs instead of him being strictly a Red Sox card, have an option to choose either Red Sox, Yankees, or Rays in your theme lineup.

Let's face teams like the Ray's don't have the amount of legends like the Yankees, this would make a Ray's theme actually interesting rather than a team of flashbacks.

And I'm not saying all Wade Boggs cards, if it's a card based on an actual season, like Rookie or Breakout, etc, but the career cards like Signature Series.

Neat idea. But other than Boggs, who in game would be useful to the Rays as a legend?

My point was making more theme teams viable. 99 Sheffield is a Dodger, when there are already plenty of Dodger OFs. But it would be better if he could also be used as a Marlin or a Brewer

I made this case last year too. I’m sure beyond the fact that the coding of the game is a rats nest there is also the issue that most flashback and legend cards were created for specific points in player careers. I don’t see why that should stop them from doing this though.

I actually forgot some of those guys played for the Rays!
