@sbchamps17 What about throwing to tank your record and playing in divisions you don't belong? I think that's super easy to do in this game and is done regularly.
It's very common for people to do that in other competitive games. I feel The Show suffers from many of the issues other online games have found solutions to already. SDS doesn't really know how to handle it and it gets ignored so no one thinks it's real in this game.
I'm not saying this is the issue but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a part of it. People complain there's too many foul balls and the game is just a 9 inning HR derby. It's very likely the matchmaking is just that [censored] bad. Newbs are probably getting paired with people out of their league. It's frustrating to have zero success in your mechanics and not able to learn anything as you get smacked around.Actually one of my biggest gripes of mlb 21, people would tank in ranked to get rewards faster, absolutely ruins the experience for players who are actually supposed to be in said divs.

@chucky97___ Precisely, it damages the gameplay experience. I mean this was a real thing in LoL and Overwatch when I played. Blizzard and Riot are top notch devs, for the most part. I know there's logical complaints against them but overall they are well known for a reason as devs. These two have gone above and beyond to having a solid system that prevents this.
I'm not one saying that I suck because of this and that's why I'm low rank. No. I'm saying it damages experience and can make your fan base that much saltier about your competitive game. -
@AdeptOfMemory I know when I'm facing someone worse than me, I usually will 90 percent of the time win, I will also add though, SBMM isn't the move, SBMM ruins games imo.

@AdeptOfMemory Reminds me of a CoD 7-8 years ago that used a qualification division before ranking people, and you'd see people jumping off roofs ad nauseam to get lower ranked. Hilarious. Pathetic, but hilarious.

The game from the bottom rank is NOT the same game or playing field as at the top ranks.
One is All-Star one is Legend
They not the game game at default.
I believe all ranked games should be played at Hall of Fame or legend (preferable HOF) by default for ALL ranks.
Even with the current system I think there should be items consideration, in the case of the Show your card ratings, and basic skill considerations for the gameplay. Valorant has a really good system. Most Blizzard games are great.
I've heard Madden and FIFA are ok but could be better I am not as familiar with theirs but I've watched some streamers.Regardless of your rejections to skill based MMR I think The Show NEEDS gear score level and the same statistics they give their players and teams should be reflected to the end user/gamers abilities compared to those they are playing. It doesn't feel that way currently at all. We know that's the case for cards.

@AdeptOfMemory games with a harsh SBMM, (fortnite, cod) become unenjoyable to the avg, alittle above avg layer, 750-800 level players would be put in limbo, not good enough for WS, but not bad enough for All star. Fortnite SBMM honestly ruined the game.

@AdeptOfMemory Madden is basically DDA, the more time you spend the harder your matches get, it actually gets unbearable in madden, you will lose 5 straight games, get cheese blitzed by some meta formation then you'll get your one Auto win by a Bot EA matched you up with and go right back into losing.

@AdeptOfMemory even they changed it, it wouldn't change much, if you struggle at hitting, you'll still struggle at hitting, games would be decided by even more RNG. Wouldn't really change much.

Why the game allows the bots to exist is beyond me. On top of that the matchmaking is trash. I don't play online competitive anymore because I feel like I kept getting matched against greatly superior opponents and no matter how many times I lost, boom, here's another much better player with a much better team I'm facing. I'm not good at all. I'd love a beginner level where they keep out the players that love to just beat up on us scrubs.
I honestly think that is the main purpose of the bots. Get to WS, and then run the bot to tank your record back down to get easy stats against players like me. The problem is that players like me just quit and stop playing those modes entirely.

It's not a conspiracy theory, I've heard multiple streamers say it. But if you want to run up the score against the bots then by all means go for it just cross your fingers that SDS doesn't see it and ban you for boosting

It's in the terms of service that your not allowed to boost or you will be banned what part of that don't you get

People get banned for staying in the freeze off cause the game registered it as a quit and gives the user a suspension even though they weren't at fault. Yet, when someone brings it up you just call it a conspiracy theory. You can just call it a theory. -
