S2 isn't all 99s?

I might be late on this, but I just saw that once season 2 starts, the 99s are gone and we go back to the 88 overall cards just like when the game came out. Is that true? If so, what a terrible idea. No one wants to go from playing with a guy with 120 power to an 86 power in the middle of the game cycle

The second season will start at a higher base level than season 1 did and you may end up reaching the 99 cards sooner in the season. You'll also have some wildcard spots.
But essentially you are correct. It was the same issue last year. My Cardinals them team peaked in season 2 and was weaker throughout seasons 3, 4 and I think 5.

@Dolenz how sure are you that S2 starts higher then 89 ovr? Was that something sds said? Not that i will be playing just wondering

From what I remember from the streams you will start with 89s. All the content creators on YouTube and twitch have been saying it too

I thought SDS said in the pre launch that s2 would start at 92( I could be wrong it was 2 months ago)
