The Derek Jeter Storylines
-
Man, SDS has took it in the shorts with this years edition with a lot of things, and deservedly so, but gotta give credit where credit is due. The Derek Jeter Storylines are just First Class. From the great moments, the interviews, the rewards, just a fabulous job all the way around. I wish there were more.
Lots of things about MLB the Show 24 that I would change for sure, but like Derek Jeter says at the end......as far as his career (and these Storylines) I would not change a thing.
Well Done SDS.

I'm with ya on the storyline. At first I didn't think I would like them. Arguably the best part of this year's game. That measly 25 stub and 25xp you get on the final stage though. Come on sds.

Storylines are great, but its a shame most of the legend budget went towards it.
If only we could get a core four program with some new minor legends throughout the year based on the teams they beat
Prioritizing guys who played for multiple teams:
1996: Marquis Grissom, Terry Pendleton
1998: Kevin Brown, Ken Caminiti
1999: Brian Jordan
2000: Mike Hampton, Robin Ventura
2007: Cole HamelsBut 2024 doesnt do proper programs anymore and we arent getting those legends

@Teak2112 Sad that this studio can't even crank out more good to great players that aren't even HOFers.
Pss poor effort as usual

They were done very well. I was very impressed with how they handled the Jeffrey Maier one.
When I saw we had to do The Flip, I dreaded it, because I messed up a few in the first set of SL's!
Kudos, and props for these. -
I don’t play a simulation baseball video game to watch cut scenes and interviews

@suzypuff14 I like cut scenes and interviews.

@ebbets1957 ehhh I wouldn't go that far, man. They aren't long enough. It's too easy and the rewards are mediocre at best. I'd say the presentation is nice but as far as a storyline or solo campaign is barely subpar. They need to be longer and more challenging wether people like them or not. They only used it as a Segway into buying more packs.
It's basically an MLB extra innings commercial with a couple mini games in between. -
@suzypuff14 lol amen!!!

They want the mode to be pick-up-and play, not bang your head against the wall hard.
And of course it was also made to reel in fans, even people that despise videogames! -
Haven't even touched them. No desire to do moments and don't care about the Yankees or Jeter
-
@TheGoaler Why are you ok with that? That's the point......we don't want it that way and it proves the point it's only there to make more money. Not be a good game mode or provide quality content.
