No sell on battle royale pack?!

@chucky97___ lmfao stop. BR rewards used to nearly complete the LS collection and now everybody gets it for free just for losing. It’s not even worth more than a choice pack. It’s been tanked, slapped around, stripped naked, and publicly disgraced right in front of everyone. This is why scrubs can’t win event games now, it’s worth MORE than BR.

Because top players deserve to be uniquely rewarded, and going flawless is extremely difficult to do.
And I would add this is a good way to do it.
Everyone can earn one of the two cards if they want (and buy the other if they want to be a completionist), but nothing is locked behind needing to be great at the game. However the people that ARE great get rewarded.
It is sort of a rich get richer thing, allowing great people to then buy the pack cards with their flawless stubs, but as a 99%er I don't care.
I hated the Flawless event rewards though, because those were NOT reasonably earnable, even with the rewind packs. That actually caused me to quit in season 5 last year after I had to farm stubs to buy 2 Mets (granted I was on my way out anyway with the MLB season being over, but it left a bad taste)

I want to be transparent and say I am not a BR player so my opinion prolly does not mean as much but what I have to say are valid points like these --
- The player spent his time to grind out these cards and it should be that players right to sell them or keep them.
You know something I was going to make another reason or two but point ONE is enough and I am tired of SDS trying to tell me and others how to play a game that the players spent good money on. I got a question IF they are sold who are they hurting ???? ---- spoiler -- NO ONE -- period and FACT -- I am done

You should be able to sell the card either way . Why you reward 10-0 but not a major grind is a slap in the face to a lot of players .
The sellable pack is the reward for going flawless, which is way more difficult than finishing a program. Thus deserves a “reward”
Then why is 10-0 repeatable and the program is not? The people who can go 10-0 do so over and over getting all the cards and millions of stubs from the great cards they get. In contrast, those who have to do the program have no grindable way like the top players to get a high amount of stubs and great cards easily.
Because top players deserve to be uniquely rewarded, and going flawless is extremely difficult to do.
Top players alone deserve infinite stubs and infinite top cards, BS

This is an immature caricature of his point.
Players who make WS or go 10-0 certainly do deserve a reward that's unique.
BR is a loophole, though, and SDS would be smart to reconsider the 20 x flawless stuff.
On the same note, if someone wants to spend his life spamming BR for "infinite stubs," don't envy him. Pray for him.

You're just wrong. And I've never gone 12-0 or 10-0 or made WS.
Before the BR program was introduced, the only way to get those cards was to go 12-0 or to buy them at insanely high prices. Flawless players made millions upon millions of stubs like this, and average players had to buy those cards at insane prices.
SDS is attempting to find a satisfactory middle ground where players who aren't great can still get the cards without paying 100's of 1000's of stubs for each of them. It's a win for players who want the cards to use or collect, not to sell.
It's actually "hurting" the 12-0 players that plebs like me can get one of the cards for free by simply working the program. The prices of those cards have plummeted viz-a-viz previous years.
Your argument is an "equality of outcome" argument related to a competitive mode that was designed to be skill-based, not time-based. You should thank SDS for making the cards available to you even if you can't go flawless. This from the guy who's raked SDS over the coals more than anyone this cycle.
Also: the Ranked and BR programs also "hurt" SDS, since they disincentivize pleb players from buying stubs to get those cards. So again, you're just wrong.
-
Two things to keep in mind in light of my last, longer post.
First, stubs are incredibly difficult to generate so far this year. Thus any restriction SDS puts on selling cards hurts. SDS is clearly manipulating DD's macro-economy (not the market) to influence stub purchases.
Second, the whole idea of a 10-0 flawless mode might need to be reconsidered since it seems to go against the DEI/democratization path the devs are prioritizing.
-
@DeleteyourTTVBTW I was saying they shouldn't be no sell, you should have to go 10-0 to get the sellable pack. I hate the programs for both ranked and br. I miss the old way.
-
I'm not sure if people are not fully reading my posts or if I'm being gaslighted, so let me be clear one last time. I don't care if people are rewarded with a single 10-0 reward track and pack 1 time per program cycle. Just like you can only do the program once per cycle, you should only be able to go 10-0 once per cycle. It's the endless over and over to get endless stubs and top cards that is wrong. Every other method to generate stubs has been nerfed or eliminated. This 10-0 endless repeat needs to go or a grind method for the rest of us should be introduced.
-
@Firestormx why should going 10-0 (hard thing to do) be nerfed? Thats basically hurting your skilled players that are no money spent. Just because you cant sell the program pack doesnt make it unfair, its not a time based reward, its a skill based reward.

it hurts the maeket which means those rewards drop for less stubs.

This is a fair critique in light of how tightly SDS is guarding stubs and xp this year. I'll at least think about signing off on this.
It's also comically ironic that as SDS goes more and more DEI/woke/whateveryouwannacallit, it has set up a system (probably unwittingly) that creates MLBTS versions of Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos -- the Repeat Flawless Bros.
I suppose we all work at cross-purposes.

@SuntLacrimae50 the 10-0/ 12-0 was always meant to be a challenge, that was the whole point of the mode when it was first introduced, " can you go 12-0" BR is easily one of the most played game modes, eliminating rewards for going 10-0 multiple times would really gate keep stubs. It stinks the program pack you only get one, but its how it should be. You shouldn't get the same reward for just doing the program.

The gatekeeping of stubs and xp is perhaps the #1 storyline of the year so far, comically bad launch excepted.

@SuntLacrimae50 game honestly got ruined by social media, all games did, it use to be hop on, play enjoy your time, now games today add all these tedius things and missions. People now want a reward for everything, the show games didn't use to be like this imo mlb 21 set the bar way to high made things way to east to obtain, made the game so easy that everyone from then on expected things for free with little work, from then on out people lost the ability to just hop on.

So, if they did FRICKING ANYTHING OF SUBSTANCE with franchise or RTTS, I would never click into DD.
All businesses now seek to create "ecosystems," not products. It's about the "attention economy" and algorithms. It's more about that than it is about social media.

They made this change last year, and it makes so much sense. Honestly, you should just be glad they even added to program to actually get the flawless reward.
If you're good enough to farm flawless, you deserve the stubs. That's literally how gaming works... Get outta here with your need for participation awards!

@TubaTim90 Preach brother preach. they make it seem like 10-0 is easy. The best BR players go 10-0 about 20 percent of the time.
