Right now you need to lock in 180 cards to get a 93 Rich Aurilia, along with a 91 John Franco, and an 89 Craig Biggio.
Out if that 180 cards; right now, ONLY 55 are available (we're not including the BR Path ones for a reason mentioned later) just buy playing the game. Those are what can be earned in as Non-Sellable. TA, Other Programs, Free Show Shop cards like Betts and Kim.
That means, to get ALL 3 of those players, you need to lock in 125 cards.
Now let's say each card, you need to lock in, averages 10K in stubs. Some are more and some (BR Silers, Golds, Diamonds) are less.
So at 10K a card; you would lock in 1.2M in stubs.
Yes, you would have a ton of cards needed to get the 3 major S1 cards.
But remember, unless you use a WC, these cards will be useless come Season 2.
Hate to say the phrase 'pay to play'.

It’s like I said the other day on here…It’s not pay to win…It’s pay for the top shelf cards…You can still play & go 10-0 or make WS without any of the 99 overalls.

That’s why you wait and by some point during part 2 he all 3 of those cards will be unlocked by locking in free cards

With 60 more in the next 2 TA chapters, roughly 40 with the season award drops...that'll put me around 170 lol. I wont even hit the first pack. Was hoping to get that George Brett, realistically i know i wont get all 3, but now i doubt i'll get him.

Without locking in any of the Marketplace cards; I doubt we'll get the first pack until close to the end of the season. If you want two or all three of them; pony up some stubs.

@x814xmafia Nah im good. I learned years ago that after paying the initial $100, they dont get any more of my money. Especially with the seasons set up now. Im not gonna spend another $200 to buy a bunch of 91s and 93s just to get a 99 that realistically i wont be using in season 2 because ill be so busy chasing that seasons Team Affinity cards, season award cards etc.

The reward path in the app says 120 for Rich Aurilia. I currently have 68 cards locked in and haven’t played any online mode. The 120 is less than the 180 you posted and I have 68 which is more than the 55 you say are available.

I mainly lock in cards earned. I have like 95 I think, I'll check later. Anyway, it's funny how they added Juiced 2001 Aurillia without giving stubs/xp. At least give a brother 10k xp and 5k stubs! But no, we get a SS only fairly good, but not super elite meta card.
That Aurillia won't even make my starting squad.
Currently, I have 89 Captain Dansby Swanson at SS. When I get Story, he's going to SS and Swanson will replace Termarr at 2nd.
That Aurillia card isn't even a top 5 SS option.
Once again this shows SDS are either very very stupid, or they're just plain scummy.
I'm not trying to spend hundreds of thousands just to unlock May's. -
@IrishFist412 it’s hard for Minersville to be right but he is. Anyone just as good has any card you can earn the TA and programs as well as whatever they have decided to purchase. The best cards used to be the ones you unlocked, it’s now reversed. It’s been a very long time since they said you have to grind to unlock the best cards, because you don't, you have to buy them.
The first 5 extra packs it was “just wait there’s a program coming, and TA II and THREE NEW STORYLINES” but when the programs and storylines come out they are 8 overalls less than what they also add to the shop the same day.
You really hit the nail on the head man, going 10-0 in BR isn’t a pay to win feature, people just get it for nothing now so what you earn by going flawless can’t even earn you the two packs they added that day with cards just as good or better than what used to be the most valuable reward in the game.
It’s gone from bad to laughable. Enjoy Doby I always hated facing him in both those games I saw him in the last 5 years. Such a menacing card no wonder he’s significantly worse than EVER BEFORE.
