If you play offline only, you can't complain about not being able to complete certain collections.

Playing both online and offline in MLB The Show 24 is beneficial for completing card collections because it offers a diverse range of opportunities to earn cards.

    Online Play:

Competitive Seasons: Participating in online seasons or events can provide rewards based on your performance, including card packs or specific player cards.
Head-to-Head Matches: Winning matches against other players can grant rewards such as stubs or packs, which can contribute to completing collections.
Events and Challenges: Special online events or challenges may offer unique cards or rewards for completion.

By engaging in both online and offline play, players can maximize their chances of earning various types of rewards, including card packs, stubs, and specific player cards, thus facilitating the completion of card collections. Additionally, it provides a more diverse and enjoyable gameplay experience.

Very strong opinion you have there that many will disagree with. Being forced, or at least strongly encouraged, to play online is not okay. Not everyone plays this game to be super competitive. A lot do it to enjoy baseball and casually unwind. Most players are not skilled enough to play online due to inexperience, disability, or life obligations that prevent them from doing so. Stating this as a matter of fact on your part is equal parts ignorance and arrogance.

This is just another case of "everyone has to be like me" complex.

Could care less about cards or online play. Fix the cameras for manage only mode and fix the stats in franchise so relief pitchers games pitched are not 0 and batter and pitcher stats are correct when broken down vs lefty or righty and I'm happy.....

This looks like the stuff Bethesda was posting in steam reviews after Starfield's launch

"Your opinion is wrong, this is how you should be thinking instead!"

There is one problem well more then one but the big one and even SDS said this with what the OP thinks --

    Play the way you want

unless you do mini seasons ( needed to be nerfed but was too harsh) or this or that or play more then we want or etc etc etc

You’re not “wrong”, and this is coming from an offline player. I stopped playing online a few years ago, I don’t enjoy it….whatever.

But what you aren’t considering is SDS’ own message….play the way you want too. It really isn’t tough to create a program that benefits and sounds fun to everyone. But for some reason they still insist on forcing online guys to play offline and vice versa. Why? Who knows.

Thank you, Siri. That was so...enlightening. And diverse. That's it -- diverse.

@originalPGOODY couldn't have said it better myself.

The way I see it is play the way you feel the most comfortable.

If you want to only play against other players do that, if you want to only play the CPU do that, if you like to play both play both.

I mainly play "offline" but try to dedicate time to "online" because I like to compete and also with the addition of Ranked Programs and Battle Royale Programs you can still get something out of the game (depending on how much you play) even if you aren't coming out on the winning side of majority of your games.
