Account Reset? 4/4/24

@Victor_SDS tried this and didn't work. having linked the account, it has me at 0 Stubbs and no DD progress. I had most programmes completed and collections as well. All gone.

Same I was almost done with team affinity programs. Had all of them finish besides national league west and central. Egg hunt I completed. I had 9,800 stubs or something. All my pre order bonuses everything. Gone. Tried the log out and back in that didn’t work and it is all gone. Saying I have only 777 stubs. Yet the two cards I sold on market yesterday for 400 stubs a piece are still showing in the app. This is messed up. -
@Victor_SDS_MLBTS I just want to compliment you guys on how well you’re doing selling a functioning game and doing actually tangible things to show your customers you value our business.

The servers are obviously bugged. I didn’t relink my account since it showed 0 progress. I bet they’ll update it and it’ll be fine. I mean I was playing for like 3-4 hours after I got out of class and this all happened while I was in stadium creator. So I had no idea what was going on

Like can we just have this game every year without all the issues? This is wild y’all… been playing this game since MLB The Show 10… I just wanna get my stuff back so I can go play some real 99 glitchers in co-op

I'm so glad I skipped this year. All signs from last year pointed to this year being a complete disaster but I didn't think it could be THIS bad though.

When I try to link through the website I have 2 account options to choose from. Both have zero progress. On MLBTS23. The whole year’s progress is gone

@Victor_SDS This is really bad advice. As a product manager, I would never recommend "try this" for a massive screw up like this. This is not an official fix and if something goes wrong, you aren't guaranteeing someone that you will roll back their account to as it was before the issue. If your "try re-linking" does work and the official SDS fix rolls out putting everyone back at where they were before the issue, will you then put people back at their new progress because the re-linking worked?
You're not giving any clarity on what will happen under either situation and there are users, including me, that are stuck in the middle. Can we get a proper official response?
There was nothing official for the patch issue last week, either. Tell your higher ups that they need to communicate better. It's not much to ask.

this isnt working, when i unlink and link it back it just shows me an account that made me reset and an account with 0 stubs, i spent $90 on this game, if i dont havent diamonds back, I will be suing this game for my money back

For me it showed 2 accounts one of lvl 4 and other lvl 0. This really suxs. I even bought the hat cuz it looked cool and the plus stubs and special cards. Id be very devastated if i lost all my progress. i 21 k stubs and just sold Jason bay card i got from a headliner.

@Victor_SDS I relinked but it said both my accounts were level 0 or 1 with no stubs but I had over 100k stubs no money spent with days played. How do you guys let this happen?

Good news is my Xbox account and companion app still shows stubs/progress. Bad news is relinking my MLBTS and Xbox accounts does nothing in game. I AM still getting multiple Scouting Report emails, so at least we know THAT server is working... SMH

Finally able to reset password and still everything is gone. Just spent $200 on legit stubs not even an hour before this happened!

Relinked to my PS account, go back in game and still missing everything! All progress, stubs, cards, etc. Glad SDS is being so vocal about this though right? What an absolute joke smh

Everyone… I’m sure this is common knowledge to a decent amount of people on here, but for those who don’t what happens in situations like this here is my shot at making it make sense and to help y’all avoid additional frustration. I’m studying cybersecurity so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but here’s my advice:

I can only assume SDS is rightfully so getting an absolute ton of reports right now… don’t expect a quick response… be realistic.

Nothing official has been said yet other than acknowledging the issue… this is standard incident response, they won’t have an answer for a little bit and a fix of some kind should probably be coming soon.

Since it’s a server issue, there should be some kind of backup in place that will make sure nobody loses their progress, these companies make way too much money to not configure auto backups to maintain the stability, safety, and efficiency of their hardware

If you unlinked your account, don’t risk losing your data, wait to hear something official and then do what they say will fix it. I unlinked but once I saw it didn’t match I didn’t re-link it. LEAVE IT ALONE. Don’t do anything without an official response or fix from SDS.

Most likely it’s a server related to Identity and Access because it unlinked certain accounts, most of which I’ve seen is related to people who pre-ordered the game.
