I’ve had a chance to calm down

I’m sure most of you have seen my “FVCKING TERRIBLE” post yesterday amid the launch of season awards promo. While I think they absolutely NEED to include at least one of the packs in the reward path, I no longer think putting that pack in the shop and some of those cards harder to obtain is the worst thing in the world. The past couple years, all of the best cards in the game were earned for free (aside from chase cards and BR cards) and no sell. With that, every single online game I would play would feature the exact. same. lineups. I think everyone having the same team is not good for the game. Doing it this way where not everyone can obtain every card allows some variance which is good for the game. I was quick to compare SDS to EA and 2K, but at launch, we had over 30 FREE 89s to add to our team, most of which had better attributes than the 90s and 91s available in packs. EA and 2K would NEVER. We have TA2 set to drop next week where we’ll get 30 new free GOOD cards. We still get GOOD free cards from other programs, we just don’t get every single card for free, which is a good thing. And unlike EA and 2K, they aren’t making it required to collect these cards to finish the programs. As much as I like gameplay and playing with good cards, half of my thrill from the game is ripping packs, and there is no bigger thrill on the game for me than pulling a valuable card, and this adds more valuable cards into the game. Also, I always disliked having a team full of no sell cards because when I would get a replacement card, I couldn’t sell the card im no longer gonna use. With much more cards in the game that are sellable that don’t have to be locked into collections. I still 100% feel that every “other program” should have at least one of the corresponding 30-40k pack included in the reward path for free. They are really screwing over offline players in that regard, leaving those players without many ways to earn stubs, but other than that, I no longer hate the direction they are going in. It’s still a lot easier to acquire these cards that are in packs than they are on Madden/2K. O’Neil Cruz is the most sought after awards card, and he’s 100k stubs. The most sought after LTDs on Madden go for over 1 million coins. That’s a big big difference. This game also offers a lot more free packs than Madden, and a lot more ways to earn in game currency. Flipping this year sucks, but it’s not impossible. Madden is absolutely impossible to flip cards. Last point I’ll make before I shut my trap: at least these in shop packs are a guaranteed high overall card. Madden saturates their programs with low ovr cards, mid, then high cards. They charge an arm and a leg for packs, and you have a slim chance at pulling a high ovr card from their packs. At least with this pack, you’re getting either an 89 or 92. You’re not getting an 85 ovr or a gold.
I know a lot of people are outraged with these changes, but I don’t think they are they are as bad as we are all making them out to be.

I don't mind them putting packs out every week. I just don't like them taking content that we've had for years and turning them into packs. Quiet simply, I want to play DD, and right now there is nothing to do.
I'll play franchise for a week. You hit the daily xp in like 4 franchise games anyway.

Dam.. SDS got to him somehow. What they offer you man?

Yeah, I miss having free packs in program, but it is clear that this is a move to keep everyone from having the same lineup. Which is great for those who play H2H
Those of us who play CPU on the hand, don't matter. -

Probably sent him a text with his location…they’re watching us.

I would not have a problem with all the packs if there were actually still ways to generate a good amount of stubs in game, which there simply isn't unless you're a no life who acts like flipping on the market is a full time job. And you [censored] well know when they release the next 92 rated TA cards they will have a 40k pack filled with 93s and 94s to go along with it

I agree. They definitely need to add content, and there should be more players in the season awards program, but at the same time there was only 4 days worth of games. I’ve finished everything outside of BR in DD so I agree there needs to be more playable things right now. But it’s still early, I think they will eventually have things added.

I agree, there should be more ways to make stubs, flipping isn’t viable for most people right now. But a team full of 92s and having a few 93s and 94s in packs isn’t bad. Just grinding TA reward paths gets those 92s paralleled and better than those packed 93s and 94s in no time at all

You must have pulled LS Trout or Ohtani to be changing your tune, lol.
Brother, I play this game for me, not them. What they did and what they have chose to do is "100% mudda FLUCKING SCUMMY."The 1 positive I will be a man and give them credit for is this. Implementing Cornerstone captains and Team captains was the most genius decision they've made! I actually LOVE this! However, allowing us to only earn 4 and choosing to put them in store for 25k is a shytty scumbag thing to do... I hope they came to their senses and quickly chose to put them in TA 2 to earn when they removed them.
By choosing to make ppl pay, "30k FOR A CHANCE TO GET" the best Topps Now card is scummy, but not even the worst part.
These cards will be needed for future collections to get better cards! We will HAVE TO BUY THEM to do the collections. No more earning these cards!
Now I get it, it the cards at the end are super meta elite 99's, allows us to get massive xp, stubs etc, and if the math is right on obtaining the cards, then maybe I'll slightly change my mind.
It's like the LS collection in the past. 1.5 mil stubs gets u literally 1.5 mil + worth of cards in the past. The value was there.
But judging by the top cards available they are ehh mid to good but not 80-90k good! -

But judging by the top cards available they are ehh mid to good but not 80-90k good!In years past, the literal only thing you had to spend stubs on was LS collection. Last year, I finished LS quickly due to a trout and ohtani pull. After I finished that, stubs were literally pointless for me, outside of ripping packs trying to pull the new chase cards. This year, I don’t really care about the LS bc I don’t want the Ruth and the other cards look mid. There’s nothing for me to spend stubs on outside of packs. Having valuable sellable cards in the game is a good thing. You don’t need to collect all these cards for collections, just load up all the BR silvers and golds and finish TA and the “other programs” and you’ll have plenty of cards to complete the season collections
