RTTS player wrong position

I'm playing RTTS and my ballplayer is a two way players, ( SP and 1B)
but the odd thing is that it says that I can play every other position, including catcher ( my player is a lefty) which is odd.to add, I can play every position BUT 1B. I've even played matches as a catcher, and I rarely stay in the same position 2 games in a row. anyone else experiencing this?
( this is on the switch version)
