Is the event on a higher setting?

Just feels like I am struggling so much in the event and just the past 2 days or so trying to square up a ball. I've had no problems with it until this event. Still winning and hitting some balls hard but it just feel much, MUCH harder. Which I'm ok with as long as its consistent and not glitched. Just seems a tad random to me for the time being
