What are we even supposed to grind offline now?

@AstrosJake because they are worried that once you finish the content you will stop playing their game everyday. Same reason why xp is capped so low. They want players to log on every day, it's called maximum player engagement. These companies believe that the more a player is on the game, the more likely they are to spend real money.
It's doing the exact opposite for me. I used to log on every single day, play some conquest, then a handful of ranked and / or events. I only have a few hours each night but I would use all of that time on The Show. Now I reluctantly hop on, play a game or two and call it a night.

Has this actually been confirmed? Im on my second classic mini season and it still shows the championship bundle, 6000 xp and 3000 stubs as a reward.
-
It's not our fault they cannot balance there own game and let's be honest there have ALWAYS been ways to game the system and core one's maybe up until this year worked for many games and they did not care that much within reason of course. However now they are like the fun police and once some fun is detected they are like -- OMG we got to go stop that ASAP.
I understand they are trying to prevent the game from getting out of hand but some of the methods are very heavy handed. Let's take Mini Seasons for example -- here is what they could have done that would not have been as bad and kind of a compromise.
Mini Season Championship -- After completing it the 1st time -- decrease the XP from that by 50% and put a timer on it of 48 hours before it can be re-started. Also there are other things they could do to help the grind alittle -- increase daily XP cap to 20k and increase the XP we get from playing the game ( HR's etc ) by 10 to 15%
There are a TON of ways to compromise and not tick off your player base but you refuse to do it. I made a post saying and it is true I have sent a request to a gaming site to take a look at this game and it's practices. I will be honest no response ( so far sent it on Easter ) but going to be honest I never wanted to HAVE to do this. I do not want to tarnish the name of SDS and MLB the SHOW but your inflexible and unfair actions are forcing me to do something that could have been prevented. If you want to suspend or ban me for speaking up go for it but I will gladly martyr myself ( account ) if it means shining a light on your poor behavior then worth it 100%.
I hope this will motivate you SDS to come up with some kind of compromise but if not then WAR it is and I have ZERO to lose and that will put you in a LOSE /LOSE spot cause even if you beat me you lose cause you beat up a player only trying to speak up. Just make the compromise cause last thing I want is to destroy your rep more then your already doing but again I will -- ball is in your court SDS -- HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT
Or send me a e-mail SDS and I am willing to talk this out with ya behind the scenes before this gets ugly

@Easy_Duhz_It_ decent question. I finished one the other night and got xp for winning the championship. I rhen started a new season and notice now that you still get the bundle, but you don't get the 3000 and 6000 xp.
-
@go4stros25 Its gotta be some kinda glitch probably caused by the last update. I started my second mini season before Fridays update and the "championship pool" goal is still available (7000 xp, 3000 stubs, BIAH pack) and shows not completed yet.
I just started a new Team Affinity mini season and still shows as an uncompleted goal there too.

@blitz77tw
Yeah I don't get it. Imagine how neutered the next mini season will be.
It wouldn't be bad if there were other ways to get xp, but there isn't. "Don't like it? Play online!"
Typical "you guys don't have phones"?

As an online h2h competitive gamer, I hate offline grinding. But In order to do collections and to get the most competitive cards, I shut my mouth and suffer through these time wasting offline grinds.
Once I'm finished grinding all the conquest maps and programs, I move on to BR, events, and then online ranked. Which is what I prefer to play.My suggestion to u is why not take your talents to online and grind the BR program, Events, and ranked?

I'm trying to finish my last TA division, the AL Central right now, and last night was thinking: 'slow down, there's not much left as an offliner.' I never said that before. I always find things to do, but things feel bare atm.
I'll just go back to NHL, which I abandoned, when early access dropped!
Will we still get Topps Now Moments, at least? -

@Shauwn I do. I'm a 50/50 player. That being said, it IS dumb to reward online players more than offline players.
Having to force yourself to play a conquest map or a showdown where you will 100% win eventually is one thing. Having to go online and get spanked time and time again becasue you aren't good is another. Gotta remember there are children and old people playing the game as well. Not everyone is a tryhard.
If you can't see the difference then idk what to tell you.
Edit: all that being said, I do believe there are people who are irrationally scared of online play.

Someone like me, 50 hours a week at work, father of two special needs kids and care taker to a disabled wife, cannot start a game that cannot be paused for several minutes to hours.
Online play isn’t an option for me so I don’t bother.
I’d like to not be “punished” (in terms of cards or XP) because of it.
I have the opposite problem. I play so little I never hit the CAP I’d just like more programs that larger XP totals.
Either way I keep playing till it’s no longer fun, as of now it’s still fun.

Bro I do play both. There's days where I just don't feel like sweating and dealing with the online BS and just want to mindlessly grind offline. Right now, there's no offline content that feels worthwhile to grind. It's basically play online or not at all.
-
The only thing we can hope is that once people start reaching the bosses, at about the halfway mark of the current season, that they will be a little more generous with the XP rewards since the genie will already be out of the bottle.
We'll see how it works out though.
-
I hear everyone's opinion and arguments regarding lack of overall offline and online content. I'm finished with every offline content available, and I'm about to hit max BR points in my next run.
My suggestions aren't meant to start an argument. This game is meant to be played however you want to play. What would be cool is if SDS added more offline/online content such as offline events, and maybe online tournaments. Just a thought.

@suzypuff14 Better questions is what is there to grind for in this game period?
Ranked rewards are worth like 7K and 17K, and they get you 0.3% of the way to one of the 99 collection legends cards that will expire a few days after you unlock them.
THey stunt our XP and rewards everywhere, live series was killed....they've watered down everything in the game.
-
Wait for TA2. Grind that out in a week then wait for TA3. Then realize there is no point in logging in and find something better to do and hope for big turnover at SDS before next years game is released.
The rewards aren’t even worth grinding for because the packs are literally a joke.
The pro sds guys started with “hold on it’s only been a week”. Now it’s “hold on it’s only been 3 weeks”. In 3 more weeks they gonna say “hold on it’s on been a month and a half?”
Sony should be embarrassed their studio released this game.
Sony should be pretty embarrassed their studio put this game out.

You should be embarassed for posting this.
Stop with the absurd overreactions people. You are not helping things. You are just adding noise to drown out actually valid complaints and good suggestions, of which there are some in this thread.

Teak -- your a fanboy we get it enough of kissing there BEEP -- your not going to get more diamonds for doing it.
They got our money they only care when they want to care other then that it's about the almighty buck -- PERIOD

Players last year: to many 99s and the grind is to long.
Players this year: cards are mid and there is nothing to grind.

@blitz77tw it is rather amusing seeing them react this way. It's like they just can't except it
