No more POTM Program.
-
This is incredibly bad.
I was thinking that the main Program talent are no longer at SDS. That's why we haven't seen the much anticipated next Kaiju program.
This is a big L. -
I bet there will be a POTM pack, though
-
@TheGoaler lmao @ "much anticipated"
-
I didn't watch. Are they really ditching POTM? That's the best program in the game IMO.
-
This can't be true. Potm was always so much fun.
-
There will be Player Of The Season 1
-
Im fine with this. With 3 team affinity chapters coming out per season, we have more than enough of a grind without the tedious Topps Now grind to unlock POTM cards to grind for a lightning card
-
@Easy_Duhz_It_ good boy.
-
@go4stros25
-
@flaw7420 was something i looked forward too also.
-
Season awards is basically POTM with a different name and a little different structure.
It's either this way or have POTM drop at the beginning of the season and have you guys cry when the cards would be 85-90 and the lightning card is a 92.
-
@allday9128 wtf is season awards
-
Granted I'm only going off what I see here: and that is PotM is being replaced by PotS
That is an absolutely terrible move. PotM was awesome and it highlighted a lot of lesser names. It was great for theme teams (even if the Mets never got any) and always got a lot of cool discussion going.MLBtS should be aiming for more interaction with the season and not less.
-
@go4stros25 that's what they're calling the new program with all the Topps now, lightning flashbacks, and player of the season cards
-
@Easy_Duhz_It_ keep licking those boots.
-
-
Didn’t tops get bought out? I loved those programs too but maybe that’s seething going on behind the scenes?
-
As long as the Lightning and Season's Best cards are Core cards.
If they aren't Core; by the time you get rhe last one; you won't be able to use it unless you blow a WC slot.
-
@allstarslayer Topps is now owned by Fanatics, but nothing's changed in the game with Topps. The live series cards are still Topps cards and most of the flashbacks/legends are based on old Topps cards too. So this can't be related to that.

This. When Fanatics got the MLBPA license; they also bought Topps. Topps could still make cards, without the license, but they wouldn't be able to have the team names or logos.
Fanatics didn't want that competition; so they bought Topps and kept the name.
Michael Rubin has a phenomenal business mindset.
