Legends not in the game Question

During storyline they mention Ted Williams by name and Walter Johnson…
Last year they mentioned Bo Jackson in commentary.

How can they say and reference the player without their rights???

Or did they get Ted Williams rights and unveil him later in the year?

They have Ted's rights he has been in the game before and I'm pretty sure is on the legends roster I'd you go to a change roster screen not in DD you can usually get an idea of what legends come later pretty sure Ted's still there and Walter should be to he has been in the game before as well

They can say whatever name they want in commentary but they can't use their likenesses in the game without paying for their likeness rights.
