I think they keep it around a certain amount of players, say 250, due to a budget. I think they allocate part of whatever budget they have for creating the game in NIL and it’s distributed out accordingly. Bigger players get larger payouts than lesser players. They swap the players out and some come and go every once in a while like Shawn Green has been in and out of the game for example.

No one is going to agree to be in the game without compensation. And even if they tried, their agents would overrule them.

And Yogi WAS in the game. In 2018. My guess is Yogi's usage wasn't worth the price tag.

I'm just waiting for everyone to complain if Yamamoto isn't in the game right away.

He should he easy to get since they have his WBC card, if they don’t already have him.

He should be covered under the MLBPA agreement since he's now (2024) an active MLB player. He'll have an LS card if not more in 2024.

And as I said to the other guy I’m sure they have his rights already since he is in this game. He has a WBC card and was in the live rosters through 11/3 as a free agent for use offline.

@fubar2k7_PSN @Blind_Bleeder He still has to sign a contract with Topps. And since Topps Series 1 is releasing on two months; I don't they have time to include him.

Which means he won't have an LS card, like Senga, for at least a few roster updates or he'll have an LS card that has a silhouette as a photo.

    @fubar2k7_PSN @Blind_Bleeder

Actually my last post may be incorrect. Since Topps has him in their 2023 WBC series, that's out now, he may have already have signed a contract.

However, I'm still going to with them not including him in their Series 1 set as they usually like to have at least one major rookie per set; and Elly is already in Series 1.

    But I could be wrong.

Maybe 2K and EA Madden can afford more legends because they are huge monopolies. NHL has a lot this year, that surprised me, like Dave Shultz for instance and a lot of European legends.

If he has an LS card, it'll have a photo. Even if they have to borrow the pic from Topps Now.

His WBC card has his photo. 🤔

@NCStateHokie They are not a small development team. I don't know why you guys say this stuff. You can see everyone who worked in this game in the credits and you can also look online to see they employ over 1000 employees.

Why say stuff like that when it isn't true?

What credits? This is the only place you can find any reference to how many people they employ. It says ~250 as of 2023.

The credits that are in the game. You go to settings and go to credits. Not some random wiki page

I see no credits when I play. Show me where you found it online with a link of the 1000 developers. Not the assistants or accountants or drivers or social media managers.

The credits are under the settings in the game. Are you arguing with the credits?

I’m not arguing with anyone. You said this information was easily found online so I looked and all I found was what I posted. I’m not on the game. Show me your easily found information showing these 1000 game developers that you found easily online. Or did you make that up?

I choose to believe the credits in the game. Not some random dudes in the forum.

Where does it list they are game developers and not assistants, accountants, people who get coffee, mail clerks, social media managers, etc etc etc…

Just because someone is mentioned in the credits mean they work for the company?

Does that mean that 4.2 billion people work for Warner Brothers?
