Ohtani FA destination

The Dodgers just resigned Joe Kelly
-
My guess is Toronto.
I like Ohtani and have much respect for his game. I love his competiveness and conviction.
However, the Dodgers FO may not want to pay a 30yr old $300+ million for a 2024 DH, with two TJ's, that may or may not pitch again at a high level.
He may very well hit .300+ with 40 HRs next year and pitch in 2025 and beyond at a CY level for a few years. Although, the latter is very much in question.
If the Dodgers do sign him, I look for a 4-6 year deal, worth over $60 million per year with incentives and opt outs on both sides. That way both are covered if he is not able to be a reliable top end of the rotation type Pitcher for multiple years.
In the end, I think the Jays or Cubs step up and offer him a longer deal, albiet less per year than Dodgers, but with more guaranteed money.

Dodgers, Giants, or Padres
-
Angels are still in it as well
-
Minnesota Twins. We have nice people here. And tater tot hot dish.
-
Pittsburgh Pirates. Lol
I'd like him to go to Boston; but he'll probably sign with the NY Yankees of the NL (Dodgers).
-
My guess is the Dodgers. But don’t forget he won’t be pitching anytime soon. Will he be hitting?

He won’t miss time as DH. He didn’t the first time he had TJS.

Count me in. Love me some tots
-
Will it be today? Probably not but read this on mlb a few min ago and found it mildly intriguing so wanted to share it.
According to MLB Network insider Jon Paul Morosi, Ohtani could bring his free agency to a close as soon as Friday. Coincidentally (we think), that would come six years to the day after Ohtani's announced his decision to sign with the Angels on Dec. 8, 2017 (also a Friday).
Reaching? Most certainly but one has to do something while waiting on our ten question marks
-
I'm a Dodger fan and I am fairly convinced he is going to Toronto.
-
I feel the Jays might have an over-reaction to Soto to the Yankees.
-
I just can’t wait to see what kind of cheddar he rakes in. I was thinking sixty mil per back around the all star break and I’m still leaning that way despite the surgery there’s just nobody like him out there so why not pay him that way. I admit id be much happier to see him stay in the AL but I’m betting he’ll be a Dodger. I just can’t wait to find out regardless
-
wow it was just posted, hes a twin

Where do y'all think he lands?
Supposedly Jon Morosi says that he'll sign within the week.
Personally, I predict the front runner (the Dodgers)
Not the Dodgers. The manager exposed that they talked and Otani sad if any team does that it's a no. So id assume not the Dodgers now.

We know he talked to every team he’s linked to so that would eliminate everyone.

@Jacky-Chan1 Lol, you think he would make a half a billion dollar choice and a career life decision based on something as petty as that? lol
