I'm not even a Boston fan and I am upset

It’s pretty clear they favor big market teams like the Yankees, show very little love to small market teams like the Royals, and favor young prospects over the true legends of the game like Mays and Gehrig. I’m not saying neglect the former, just balance it better with the later, and the game would be much better balanced and appeal to all fan bases and generations.
I feel that with people like us they think we will just always buy the game no matter what so they cater to the casual fans who come and go. Almost like they value them more than us because they feel we will just buy it anyways. I’ll use off position fielding as my example. They made it realistic where guys off position made lots of mistakes and casuals rioted so now everyone is a platinum fielder at any position.

Good point and I can understand that on catering to casuals and newbies. I just wish they wouldn’t take the loyal players for granted. I only complain because I know things could be so much better and praising garbage only gets more garbage. The fielding is my number 1 gameplay gripe in the game and by far the most unrealistic with the Superman dives, robbing HRs and rocket throws right on the mark from subpar fielders. Again a little accuracy would go a long way.

I’m again assuming things but maybe they are hoping those casuals will stick around and keep buying it if they cave to their demands. Give them their overjuiced Schwarber on repeat 3 times a game for example when in reality he’s barely a silver.

Guessing that is very likely the case.
