vs CPU on double XP while you're doing the next program. I hate to do it, but I'll use a high elevation park and hit 20+ HRs. 15K per game.
Thank you all so much for the encouragement I’ve been wanting this card since I first saw it. I looked and I don’t have the AS one either and I’d just hate to miss the chance to play ball with Acuña. Now I’ve got me some hope and I appreciate that tremendously.
I wonder though if I’m doing something wrong when it comes to these vs cpu games. Like you I get the the 20 homers , 30 runs etc but instead of the several thousand xp I used to get, it seems like I'm only getting a fraction of that. Is it because most of my team is free agents or does that only matter when grinding for TA? I feel like I should know this by now but I simply don't lol
Again I thank y’all!
PS @broken_toy1 I’ve enjoyed reading your excellent posts of late and have missed them. I’ve missed a lot of people on here lately but I totally understand why everyone is gone esp with the forum being so dead. Just wanted to put that out there
FA? Are you using the NBL players? That shouldn't make a difference anyway. Maybe a S5 specific team is needed for more XP? Still shouldn't matter though. Is your pitcher doing well also? 18-23 strike outs, QS, complete game shut out, etc. All that should get you 5K-8K a game.

I just thought of something. I probably SHOULD be playing my vs cpu games with a season five squad shouldn’t I? Would that get me to the Acuña faster or is it simply any XP earned right now is credited to my Sfive point totals? I’m right at two fifty K right now so I’m going to pay attention and see what I get this game

Ok just did a vs cpu game where I had twenty two strikeouts with three pitchers also had twenty homers with eleven diff players and got zero XP. Check out my player ID it should be the most recent game I played. Someone please look at it and tell me what it is I’m doing wrong. I got tons of PXP but not a single XP. No wonder I feel like this Acuña is taking forever to get to.
Oh and the only other game I played today was a vs cpu game that I quit after a couple innings because my wife came home with Arbys and I wasn’t about to miss that so it’s not a question of exceeding my daily limit. I started today with 245,215 XP and that’s where I still am. Someone please tell me what I’m missing because this is the slowest I’ve progressed through a season so far and I just don’t get it. What’s worse is this has been the only season where there was a reward card that I’ve actually wanted and instead of progress if I’m just marking time

How long have you been playing on the last 24hrs? Maybe you hit the XP Cap.

I had only played two games in the previous twenty four hours. Both against cpu and one of those only went two innings out of nine and was tied one all when I quit the game to eat lunch. The only other one was the game I gave an account of where I got nada despite a decently productive game.

Have you played Home Run Derby lately?

People offering 300k on a card you could get for free from grinding, and I thought I was lazy

The cap is around 100K though. Weird.

One more idea. Were you connected to the internet the whole game? If not that could be it. I know I haven't gotten credit for PXP to a program when I was unknowingly disconnected. I'm shaking my head how discombobulated that sentence was. Know no know, you know? I think next step is a ticket to SDS. That might be why you're not there yet. What's it showing on the end screen after the game?

I thought it was 60K. Of course they're never mentioned/verified the amount. That I know.

No I’ve not tried that. Would I delete it from the PS altogether and then redownload it? Id be willing to try that if that’s what you think might work. Strange that you mentioned HR Derby! I’ve not played that particular game mode but once and only several months ago however the field that I selected to play my ‘vs cpu’ game yesterday was actually named that - “HR Derby”….is that what you meant?

Hmmm I’m not certain about this one. I have noticed in the past few weeks that certain times I’ll be in the DD menu and it’ll start out saying that I’m not connected and put me back to the main menu but usually in a few seconds it’ll come back up and then it’s back to normal. Would it be possible that it disconnects while I’m in the middle of a game and reconnects without me being aware of it?
Y’all have given me a few things to try at least and for that I’m certainly appreciative. I think today what I’ll try is going back to using my wired connection as well as trying to delete and reinstall and perhaps one of these or even the combination may fix my issue. If not then I’ll submit the ticket.
So far as the post game screen it doesn’t give me any XP total at all. Of the three screens I thought the first one used to show the tally but mine hadn’t shown anything at all for a very long time so far as XP totals are concerned however I do usually get some kind of rather low grade card as a reward most of the time displayed on that initial screen. The middle and final screens will show me a listing of all the different increases in program PxP that usually adds up to many thousands of new points but when I go back to the season five XP total after I close it out I’ll have received zero increase in overall points. I just can’t make heads or tails of that it’s really baffling lol
Thanks for y’all’s help though I’ll report back today after work some time after I’ve had a chance to try these suggestions. At least it gives me something to aim for

Yes. Delete it and re-download it. Then try a game to see if you get XP.
No, not the field. The mode. There's some kind of glitch, unless they fixed it, that of you play the HRD Mode; after it messes with your XP until you delete and reinstall the game. Just delete it and reinstall it to see if that helps.

@BxnnyMxn_
If it disconnects while your midgame - It'll usually kick you out of the game. Even if it's just Play vs. CPU.

Oh my gosh it worked! It truly truly worked! I did the delete and redownload/reinstall and the very first inning I played there was a notification that showed I had garnered 1327XP….ive not seen it do that in MONTHS!!! This is incredible man I can’t thank you enough! Maybe now I’ll actually be able to earn that Acuña this weekend since it’s double XP! Finally! Man I am friggin STOKED y’all have made my day I truly mean that. I was so anxious to see if it worked that i came by the house in between service calls just to try it out and I hate to leave it lol but I know I’ll have me a good weekend for sure.
Thanks to all who helped me through this. This is just wonderful. I’m so happy about it that I’m not even going to dwell on how many wasted hours I’ve put towards trying to earn this Acuña lol
-
My first game I got fourteen thousand XP plus several thousand stubs. I had forgot all about earning stubs from games. I gotta say that the game played totally different after the reinstall. I’ve only hit one home run all year exceed 500 feet and my first game after the reinstall I hit four of them. I had also never seen a pitch hit 104mph before and did that several times with Billy Wagner. Heck one ball went 503 feet with Jose Altuve....and I only use regular swing haha this is really fun! Heck I may reinstall the game every week if this keeps up

@NCStateHokie The All-Star Acuna card is better that than the 70/40 card in 1 area. Its +2 in contact vs lefties. All-Star card has decreased stats in 7 other catagories.
Do you have the All-Star card boosted and comparing it to non-boosted 40/70?
Yes, I explained my error a few posts above your post.
