Max Elevation

Gotta remove those stadiums. If you want a home run derby. Play home run derby. I hate these. 95mph exit velocity 450feet.
-
I like them. Who wants a 2-1 pitching duel when you can have a 14-12 win.
If you don’t like it. Pick something else for your home game.

Tell me you can’t hit without telling me you can’t hit.

I'm waiting for them to raise the ceiling to where Coors actually is, or where they played the game in Mexico City this year. It would be amazing to have a 7k ceiling for elevation (as long as they let the altitude actually do its job in their programming).

Heck I wouldn’t be opposed to playing in a stadium built atop of Mount Everest when I’m grinding for cards. I can see how it would be silly to play some kind of ranked game in a place like this but so long as the opponent reaps the same advantages from it as I would anyhow.
Might have to have the vendors sell Ohares canned air ala The Lorax to keep the fans conscious though

@Dookie-Possum
I can’t that well. But it’s fun to hit HRs. If I dedicate 45 minutes to a ranked game I want to have some fun. I don’t find 3 hits a piece over 45 minutes much fun at all. But each to their own.

@Dookie-Possum "I play at forbes because I like real baseball" energy. No one is playing at stadiums that dont have high elevation. The game plays terrible at mlb stadiums as well. Top players play at high elevation because the strength is hitting, they dont wnt perfect perfects dying at the wall. Its a video game, good input should be rewarded, high elevtion ( 2800 and above ) helps good input be rewarded more often. Nothing about not having skill, I've played plenty of people in events on all star at shield woods who couldnt score a run, I've also played games on legend and hof where guys cant score there.
-
I like having the choice to play wherever.
-
It doesn't really bother me playing anywhere except Polo Grounds or Forbes. I'd rather not play in MLB parks but it's not that big of a deal. However, I find that the guys that can't hit only play in max elevation stadiums narrative to be quite the opposite. Most of the guys I play that truly can't hit play in [censored] stadiums with rain or some type of time of day lighting issue to try to even the playing field.
-
It is interesting that they removed "wind" as a factor a couple of years ago or so, but kept elevation.
I do not choose one of those stadiums for online h2h matches, but I do for grinding vs CPU and it makes a big difference. I several no doubt HRs that had 95 or less mph exit velos while grinding the WS program at my max elevation field.
-
@dsparks the people that can't hit are always playing in some mess of a stadium and waiting to fluke you with some jammed bloop single for 2 runs, praying that you do not get rewarded. That stuff doesn't fly had elevated parks, hit to win.
-
So your opponents choice of where they would like to play home games shouldn’t be allowed because it’s not where you would choose to play yours? IMO only Citi Field should be removed because the dimensions are ideal for making perfect perfects outs in this years game

What SDS should do is to add filters to the game settings selection, one of those filters being stadium elevation and region (for matchmaking purposes).
If they do that and add ping based matchmaking it will be so much better to play H2H games. Folks with bad internet ruin the experience of others due to lag compensation

@iBonafideScrub_
That is a good idea as P2P latency can be poor in larger distances between connections. In addition, they should add a ping notification before going into a match. -
I like these stadiums for offline stats not for online
