The problem is not perfect perfect outs...its not the good okay hits..its the "very early - rolled over" and the "very late - jammed" hits

And Roy Oswalt just had 4 RBI's with 3 (very early - rolled over hits) in the RS game i just played.

That's whats the most frustrating about this game. Oh and I lost by 1 run.

The first thing anyone ever does is have a panic attack the second a game doesn't go their way and make a post here. So now the rolled over hits are the new crisis because it's you, right?

The fact that theres a video compilation proves the rarity of those hits. Happens at least three times a game in the show - way too much.

I was simply giving an example. Have you ever had this happen to you or does it never happen when your playing. Your comment makes no sense.

It’s WHY the game didn’t go their way that frustrates players. Rewarding trash hits, errors controlled by the game, game grooves your pitches, good hits nerfed etc.

Does that seem like legit gameplay to you? Oh let me guess, it happens in real baseball so it’s all good...right?

My biggest issue is still the “good-okay” when your PCI is right on it. It’s like the game is intentionally robbing you by labeling it “okay” instead of good or perfect

The "it happens in real baseball so that means it should happen in The Show every game" argument is so played out. This isn't real life, it's a video game. It still takes a ton of skill on real life to make contact with a baseball, even if you're early or late. It takes hardly any skill in this game to be "very late" and make contact.

Video games and real life are different. I can't believe so many people have a hard time with that

Ok when 21/27 outs are good okay and 3/4ths of those are [censored] center pci the game is jacked. I have lost all interesting ranked, br and events because the hitting at this point is a joke. It rewards shitty input not good

This game is worse than 18. 19 was decent in comparison but this is a [censored] show like my team in 2k and MUT in Madden. It’s only made for those who know how to play the video game. Trying to apply baseball logic to a video game no matter how bad of an attempt at it being a simulation, will make you go crazy. No need to go into detail about all the problems with the game just enjoy what you can from it. The more we complain about it the more frustrated we get. I’m at a point where once this pandemic is over I don’t really want to play this much anymore it’s honestly become a bad game because of micro transactions people use to obtain who they think will make them better.

I just experienced this myself. It is very frustrating. In retrospect I was trying to determine what the underlying system was doing to me, and think maybe there is a normalization factor going on? I.E. as your stats get better and better the systems works harder and harder to fit you into some kind of bell curve?

So does normal-predictable MLB activity. Unfortunately, that rarely happens in The Show.

    iT hApPeNs iN BaSeBaLl.

Why even have user input then? Just make CPU play the games when its player v player too and lets just watch a simulation instead of making input matter since iT hApPeNs iN bAsEbAlL.

Lol, that video was completely irrelevant to the topic. I watched like the first 10 hits and they were all just broken bat hits. Most probably because their bat was cracked to begin with. OP was talking about super early and late swings. That video just had their hits getting nerfed because their bats broke. Not because they were off on timing.

Yeah that person literally had the point of this post fly wayyyyyyy over their head. The dope was probably sitting on that ridiculous video for the perfect moment to use it. And he failed miserably.

My issue with the hitting in this game is how inconsistent it is. You can hit a good good fastball and there will be a million different outcomes. Sometimes, it just feels like they roll a dice for wether it will be a line drive, a home run, a ground out, a fly out, or a foul ball.
