Servers are down for me

True, you're not wrong and usually I don't get upset about it. One or two days is understandable. This is now 5 days with no updates over 24 hours. The fact that a company cares this little about us and so many people come on here to mock us is what pisses a lot of us off.
While I agree this has gone on too long, lets not pretend that SDS is any better at communicating with PS or MS users when there are problems on those platforms.
I definitely think communication could be better but I don't automatically associate a lack of updates with a lack of effort on their part to fix it, especially since none of us know what the underlying cause is. It could be hardware failure, software failure, maybe Sony or Nintendo made a networking change that broke it.
It sucks. I have empathy. I hope that it gets resolved soon and there is some compensation for the downtime (although based on the past I also believe that nobody will feel like the compensation is adequate).
It's the whole "SDS hates my console complaint", which reminds me of the "SDS hates my team" posts, that gets a little tiresome. I understand the frustration and disappointment, and support everyone's right to complain about it. But the persecution complex is a little much.

For me its Over never buy it and i uninstall the game...they Will not do nothing....almost 8 Days blackout!?!?they give up but they dont have the balls to say....its Over boys they are not doing nothing.... -

Never seen nothing like this before....Never? Were you alive during the 80s and 90s when we began to network games together? I have seen this type of thing countless times over the past five decades. I remember when the "Internet" (wasn't the Internet at the time) was text only, and we had (okay, we didn't have to, but we did it because it was a challenge) to worm our way through servers to get to the Library of Congress. Man, I thought the whole thing would break when images were first introduced, I sure had a lot of fun on my Commodore with its massive 1 Mb memory expansion. Those were the days. A simpler time. A time before the Empire.
If we focus on what is happening worldwide, this will seem like a very small problem.

Cross-Play is relatively new (considering computer technology). As with all technology, it will grow at the speed of light, but there will be growing pains. I'm not saying that consumers shouldn't make noise to help push it along. But throwing tantrums is a whole different ballpark.

5 days is trivial? I'm off today helping my wife recover from dental surgery. In the meantime I'm cleaning the house and doing other random things.

How would you feel if you couldn't play for this long? Be lucky that SDS didn't take the rest of the servers down as well just to make it even, it is completely unacceptable to not be able to play for this long, so shut up

In the other thread you got guys saying they don’t work weekends. In here you got a guy saying maybe they should shut them all down so everyone is even Steven. They work weekends when it’s an emergency and probably brought in extra people and nothing gets shut down purposely. They are trying to make money after all and being offline means no stub sales to Nintendo customers. Don’t act like they’re not working around the clock to get this fixed.

A nonissue is that the game is completely non functional on a whole console (and now reportedly for old versions of The Show too).
