Event game, I'm winning 3-0 in the 3rd, this guy is very swing happy on pitches out of the zone.
I throw a perfect input slider low and away, it warps down the middle and home run.
Fine I guess, that pitcher is tired, so I take him out.
Next pitcher I also make low and away pitchers, I would have to be an idiot to throw in the zone, I get one strikeout, but on two at-bats, perfect inputs warp down the middle and suddenly he's tied it.
So I bring in ANOTHER pitcher, first at-bat, still throwing out of the zone, perfect input, warps down the middle, and he takes the lead.
I went from 3-0 to 5 Warped pitches put right down the middle that ended up with 4 home runs and one foul ball.
I don't believe in what some term the "little billy" programming, but games like this make me question my sanity sometimes

Just curious, which pitching input are you using? I noticed in the beta that pinpoint was pretty heavily nerfed and this happened a lot.

Pinpoint, haven't used anything else since that option came out, but it wasn't like a missed spot, I mean you saw the ball going where it's intended out of hand, and then it warps to the middle, hard to explain, but almost like teleporting.

I noticed that even a slight degree of miss on a perfect could result in a meatball. Unless all your pitches were perfect with 0° off on all inputs. Either way it sucks. I heard some people actually went back to analog pitching and some even to meter, that's how bad it is apparently.

It’s a thing, Eatyum. I have seen these warping pitches for the last few months ( it literally starts where you aim it and then seems to do thru a wormhole and end up in a totally different location). And more times than not, it ends in a homerun.
Now I have never seen it warp as a batter so not sure if it has happened to my opponents, or the hitters just don’t see it.
But it is absurd and maddening.

In my first RS game of the new season, I was playing someone who was definitely better than I am. Has MA Ohtani pitching. He's dotting everything. I'm struggling. Then, suddenly he throws a slider down the middle. I slap a single. Then another slider right down the middle. I hit a HR. A fastball down the middle. I hit another HR.
Then... right back to dots. He won, but it was strange.

It's coded in the game to allow for more competitive play. Good players don't miss those pitches

Bull, it's actually coded into the game for less competitive play. More randomness to tone down the skill gap.

It's DDA and it is in every competitive sports game and fps shooter it's just how the industry works to keep more players engaged and spend more money

Right! In my favor, since I'm not a "A" player.
Still, I don't like it.

This happens on Meter too (yes, I’m old and stubborn and won’t change).

This has happened to me too, it’s a bug and it seems to happen in games when connection with opponent is very bad
-
You just got better so now it happens to you. Years ago they just made you drop balls in the outfield. Now they make it look cleaner with miss input homeruns and perfect pitches that hang.
I will never understand people that quit. They make it so easy to come back sometimes.

It's known as dynamic difficulty adjustment where the game will change outcomes depending on how each user is playing in a certain game you can read more detailed information online it's the gaming industry's little secret

Not trying to sound like another user here, but I actually think it's a weird lag. I have it happen more on perfect input in games that are just slightly laggy. The ball tracks where I aimed it, then suddenly warps towards the middle and usually results in damage.
