Okay so this morning I was finishing up with the Brewers in MTO mode and in a playoff game and I hit a shot with Brice Turang towards the fence in right at Busch stadium…Lars Nootbar is playing in RF and he’s got such a bead on it that I figured it was going to be the typical, nonchalant, over the shoulder home run robbing catch (we all know this to be true) that im used to…however it wasn’t to be! Right as he reaches that critical last step to watch the ball glide into his glove….WHAMO! He literally ran smack into the wall and watched the remainder from his back (actually he jumped up immediately) and I got the dinger. I was stunned and delighted simultaneously….that has literally NEVER happened to me and I loved it so much that I’ve watched the replay about ten times and the game is still paused while I type this up to share.

Speaking of something else that never happens….has anyone ever managed to throw out the cpu from the outfield as it tries to get back to base after a fly out? For example when they go ‘halfway’ to Second from 1B when the ball is popped up to shallow LF….I have tried this every way I can think of but can never pull it off.

You should record this play and post it. That would be fun to watch.

Oh man it took me so long to type this that the game lost connection. All I have are the two 30 sec clips I made and I’m going to share them with you over PS5 and let you decide if they’re good enough to share…and if they are I’d need you to post them lol the thought of even trying makes me break out into a cold sweat! Tell me what you think

I sent you a couple of others since I’ve realized I can do this now… I’ve seen it a couple of times now where the hitter can’t break the bat across his knee lol I would swear I saw this in an actual MLB game the other day but I can’t seem to remember who the player was but he gave it two or three good solid FAILS before he gave up too…just like the animation lol. I had meant to write it down so I could see if the guy slipped quietly onto the 15-day dl over it haha

Heh. The last time I saw a broken bat over the knee was Bo Jackson. I think you’re right though, someone else did it recently.

Those clips are awesome! I’ll put them up on my YouTube if you want.

    Edit: here you go… https://www.mlb.com/cut4/pete-alonso-breaks-bat-over-knee

Haha I was talking about seeing someone FAIL at the attempt of breaking the bat over their knee and it looked a lot like the animation I shared with you in one of those videos. I swear I watch so much baseball I just cannot remember but I’m going to have to find it now lol

Of course by all means post the videos! I was afraid that it wouldn’t be worth posting since my capture was missing some of the at bat.
