Certainly a sweet surprise did anyone have a clue they were doing this? Pretty impressive if they pulled off the flank attack in this day and age where things are so prone to leakage online. Kudos SDS, if so!
Still, I gotta say, I keep waiting to see a #1 pick card for a certain NY Met from Crenshaw HS circa 1980. I won’t give away his name at this time but his initials are Darryl Strawberry…
I played at Crenshaw HS back in the early 70's before Strawberry was even in High School. It was in a summer league game. As a right handed hitter, my back foot rested in about a 6" hole in the dirt and the dirt was rock hard with dirt powder around it if that makes sense. For Straw to be as good as he was and having to play on that field is an amazing feat. Shows just how good he was.
This is statistically impossible. If you were in high school you in the early seventies you would be [censored] near 70 years old today. Nice try though with your story.
Hahaha your statistics need a bit of shoring up! I bet you’d soil your nappie if you were to see Clint Eastwood still directing movies!

Dang. I think I just soiled my nappie while laughing at my own witty retort

If I knew that was I would understand the reference. Is he that guy that had to flee the country after some incident with a kid and his wife getting killed by Charlie Manson?

I wish they’d add him. They can even have a common card version of him and Eric Davis for my 1992 Dodgers.
You know a ‘pre-mlb teammate’ theme wouldn’t be too shabby of an idea…thinking of Davis and Straw at Crenshaw in HS and then last night we had teammates drafted 1 and 2…I can think of several others off the top of my head thru the years that did quite well later on…how cool would that be?

This might simply be due to the Earth having just freshly cooled back when you played there and the dirt was still forming? I bet that was it my old partner!

That would be cool. If Straw was in the game I’d demand they at least put his 1991 card in so I can have him on my Dodger squad. When he was with your boys I remember all the stories about how he was gonna someday be the homerun king and maybe he would’ve had he stayed clean.
Oh well, I just remember being so excited when we got him and being so heartbroken when he failed then double heartbroken when Davis came and failed as well. Who would’ve thought Brett Butler would be the productive outfielder from Strawberry, Davis and Butler?

I bought and opened a pack, but didn't select a player and now the pack is gone. Oops

You can still return to it did you figure that out yet? I don’t think you can on the app but I’m for certain you can return to the pack opening screen on the game itself and it’ll ask if you want to resume your choice pack, then you’ll be able to make your selection

I just turned 75 and love playing The Show ... in case there was an ageism comment floating around in there.

I assure you this is most certainly not the case on this forum. @Texas10pt_MLBTS is one of THE most beloved and cherished voices on this forum. Unfortunately there are troll posters in our midst but once they unmask themselves it’s very easy to use the block feature and, like magic, all evidence of their existence on here is gone in an instant. When I see posts like the one you’re referring to, i look at the last ten or so and if they’ve got nothing decent to say I simply block them. Most of what I see is not abject hatred but rather unadulterated naïveté and can be chalked up to simply being prepubescent in which case I try to be quick to forgive but the nasty ones the only thing I’ve found to do about it is block them
