CPU pitchers

Why is it, no matter what difficulty you're playing on, that the CPU pitcher has a Ball/Strike Ratio of 4 to 1?
Trying to finish off TA2 and 5 of my players have missions where I need either 10 hits or 5 XBHs to complete the mission.
I have them batting 1-5 and I just had to quit the game, by dashboarding, because the CPU pitcher walked ALL 5 to start the game.
I try not to swing until there are two strikes against me and I just watched the CPU throw 20 balls compared to 5 Ks.
I actually set my controller down and didn't pick it up to swing the bat because the CPU walked my first 5 batters.

Must just be you. Just played a half dozen conquest games on veteran and was ecstatic due to the pitchers throwing just about every pitch down the middle

I have played CPU exclusively for years and never seen that behavior.
Care to link us to the game log so we can verify that 5 batters walked in a row and that you are just not exaggerating?

I get it all the time playing the CPU. The only time the CPU will pitch normally to me anymore is playing on HOF or Legend. Allstar and below it is a pretty close to a 4:1 ratio on pitches thrown. It's awful.

Yes I’ve noticed they don’t throw any strikes I think last I checked they threw about 40% in the strike zone so it’s still way too many balls.

No need to work counts against CPU. In Conquest and Mini Seasons, the SP is taken out after 4 runs and in vs CPU games they are taken out after 5 runs and a RISP. Relief pitchers will taken out after about 5 runs as well. I usually have the SP out within 10 pitches. Just swing away when playing the CPU!
