You know I’ll never forget seeing Wade Boggs in the dugout as he wept bitterly at the end of the 86 WS. Even though I was euphoric with glee at time due to the Mets having conquered, I couldn’t help but feel for guy - he left nothing on the playing field and yet it just wasn’t enough…who can’t relate to that in some form? I pulled for him from that moment on. When he followed up Bo Jackson’s epic all star game lead off homer with one of his own I thought that was a great moment and he looked like he was having the time of his life when he made it back to the dugout.
Man, I love baseball.
I’d tune in every episode.
What an incredibly kind thing to say about those two and whomever it is that you must have me confused with hahaha!
However…I have heard it said that I have a face for radio.
Haha, nope you’re one of us. plus I loved your nerdy wrestling posts.
Speaking of which, do you know who had an awesome (maybe even the awesomest ever) walk up song? Friggin Hulk Hogan!!! Does anyone remember? It want to say it was still his music when he did the unthinkable and pinned Andre the Giant (May God rest his spectacular soul) - and up to when he took on that absolutely horrid “I am a real American” song.
It would start with this killer piano riff and you’d hear the voices chanting “HULK…HULK….HULK” and then some Eddie Van Halen -esque hair band distortion pedal guitar comes is and something that sounds like a friggin cinema…Im nearly in tears thinking about this walk up music right now
Hogan started using Real American shortly after Barry Windham left the WWF and that was well before Wrestlemania 3.

I'd like to know their thought process for a lot of these programs...but i am kinda looking forward to finishing this. I usually smash everything with Belts gold cards and i did hit 3 homeruns with this card in the showdown.
Nice, I’m gonna definitely give him a shot and certainly am not a huge fan of Boggs’ swing. But Boggs is certainly the greater legend/player
I hate Wade Boggs (yes even though he was a Yankee*) but i can't even lie....his card is kind of a beast for me.
Boggs always kills it for me.

Golden information sir and I thank you

I really don’t know who makes these decisions. It’s become abundantly clear though that SDS has been reluctant to include top tier cards in the ‘other programs’ portion of the content. Sure a few outliers here and there but I’d say that 90% or more of these cards best use is their ability to award progress towards set collection cards. Main program boss cards and set collections look to be the only cards earned offline that’ll have any true staying power tbh.
