I've been a DD player since the beginning, meaning I was there for the two most cringiest things SDS decided to put in the game:

Pepe Alazar and basically, the entirety of The Show 18.

Prior to release of '23, I was bummed to see the card designs were taking another step back with the Charisma series but I could live with those, I guess -- these "Incognito series cards are just downright stupid, in my opinion, and I fear this series that I love is headed in the wrong direction if the Charisma, Kaiju, and Incognito series are any indication of where they're going to take things.

I was totally fine when the card's nickname didn't replace the actual player's name in-game and in the menu but now that they've changed it... It's just so lame. I understand that it might be fun for casual baseball fans but I hope we don't get anything like this ever again.

If they wanted to do something like this, they should've waited for the "Player's Weekend" (I think that's what it's called) and release cards of the players with the nicknames that the players themselves chose and not these out of nowhere corny stuff that someone at SDS came up with.

I'm hoping I'm not in the minority here...

These are players weekend nicknames,I recognized a bunch of them, not that I liked them then either.
They need to go back to using players name, even knowing a bunch of these nicknames I still can't tell who's who.

These cards will be recycled down the line with their names being in place. The cash grab continues of 99 on day 1

The problem is Madden came out with the AKA series this year & people LOVED it. Incognito is an exact copy of it. I think SDS saw the popularity & decided to do it too. Me personally - I don’t care what the card art says but I want to see the players name on the field.

This is exactly what is happening. So much junk on madden, now SDS is stepping in and doing it

There's always someone to complain. If God had a discussion forum , there'd be some one complaining why the sky is blue .

That's because there are things to complain about. And it's a forum for sharing your thoughts.

    Not difficult to understand.

Everyone is juiced in DD the names rarely matter. But I agree it's a silly gimmick.

I’m with you 100% bro. I’ve been a player since ‘15. These new cards are silly! They could knock it out of the park every year, and yet they fail nearly every year. I was super excited at the drop, only to see this nonsense!

Nonsense is being kind. This years version is enough to make me walk away for good.

The silly incgnito nicknames, the bizarre mini season team locations and names, the stupid godzilla type monster theme and stadiums, and everyone having a 92 or better team after the first week of release all indicates SDS is taking this game from a solid baseball sim to a goofy game geared towards little kids. What's next....bringing back bobblehead mode?

I wish ranked had a hardcore mode with a couple things locked on or off.

    Zone locked on

    Strike zone locked off

    Created stadiums locked off

    HOF locked on

Ball trail or location thing locked off but the camera spun around like it does in offline so you have to find it yourself

Same camera when hitting and running bases online as offline.

    Wind locked on

    Injuries locked on

Cap on players like BR but maybe just have to have a certain amount of golds

    Idk something like that.

Online rated is the closest you can get but it as well is missing a lot of the options above.

I absolutely agree. SDS has made feces show out of their game and diamond dynasty mode
