Live Collection Ethical Dillema

So I'm trying to go No Stubs Spent on the Live Collection this year. Just ... because.
Here's my issue:
If one completes a team, they get 1400 stubs per team as reward. (300 for 10, 300 for 20, 400 for 30, 400 for 40).
I've got 10 teams where it would take less than 1400 to complete the collection. Can I plausibly argue I "spent no stubs" if I buy the remaining cards for less than 1400 total? Or would that still be "spending stubs"?

It would. You must pull every card from pack or as a daily reward. Otherwise you achieve nothing.
