Lots of people on this forum have called core cards useless. When the Mexico series program arrived they didn’t want useless core cards. I loved the core card flashbacks.
With this new collection though I have no sympathy for people who called core cards useless and now may be possibly begging for more core cards

How? There's going to be an endless stream of 99s and 97s...every season there will be at least two seasons worth...and even more as the season goes.
What makes these core cards usable?
Most won’t be. Except 2 of the 99s collection . Especially with the lower ones like Mariano getting upgraded already. But it was probably a windfall of stubs for the guys they tipped off on it to bring the cards values up on the lower cards.haven’t looked at Seager but I bet he is good. So eventually it will come.

World series programs, Ranked, some just came out today so i don'thave them but I had 180 and that was enough. A lot of mune came from programs (WBC, Mexico program etc) TA collection, first program and the Negro Leauges collection.

There are 99's everywhere. I get it...Seager has always been cracked in this game.
But that doesn't really meet the definition of "usable".

There are 99's everywhere. I get it...Seager has always been cracked in this game.

Yea I’m just observing the situation. McGwire okay as a bench bat vs lefties. Jeter underrated good. Sosa alright. Wagner supposedly good but mine gets shelled so much I took him out of my bullpen for Doolittle. I do like Mariano and think he is underrated but he just got a 99. Mantle just got a 99.
So yea just good for another 99. And seager is usually cracked but with the LS done and all programs still probably cost me a couple hundred K to get Seager. So that’s what it is. I’ll wait.

I'm just looking on the companion app right now, so I can't see everything, but do live series cards count towards this core collection? Cause if they do it's gonna be super easy to get. Only 6 cards per team will get you there.

Yes they do I have it done and all programs and i am 47 cards short. Sorry don’t have negro leagues done so that’s 38 short of you did those. After more careful look probably be about 100k to complete.

you can't use LS, only ls collection players

you can't use LS, only ls collection players

It must be wrong because i have Jeter and I do not have 180 cards. There’s only 186 cards listed so maybe they didn’t allow all those cards in the set.

It must be wrong because i have Jeter and I do not have 180 cards. There’s only 186 cards listed so maybe they didn’t allow all those cards in the set.
LS cards are only good for LS collection. These other collections are flashback and legend cards only.

Yep…Had all the cards needed for Seagar. This is why when people were crapping on the Mexico cards I said just do the program even though you’ll never use these cards…THIS is why.

That and the Storylines, it pays to do every program SDS throws at us.
